  1. The latex hand guards are not a necessity for EIB, Evan, but are required for level 3, (Centurion), which I hope you are aiming for. The screws for the TD that Anovos includes are not canon, but can (and should) be replaced with flat-head pan type screws, painted black. The hovi mic tips can be painted white on the inside and front, but the screen should be replaced for level 3. A look at some of the Anovos Centurion submission threads should help you out: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/72-request-centurion-status/
  2. Great to hear that you are aiming for EIB (and hopefully Centurion) with your build, Evan! I would advise checking out Tony's (ukswrath) Anovos build thread, which will give you all the step by step info. you need to take your build to level 3. You can find that here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35086-ukswraths-anovos-tk-build/
  3. Hola! I need someone with Corel Draw or a similar program for an FISD related project I am working on. It would probably take half an hour of your time, and I can't afford to pay you. I can, however, send you a really cool official 501st car decal. If interested, please PM me. THANKS! Joseph
  4. You could very well be the coolest dad ever, Rick! Great job!
  5. Exactly, Ben. That is why it is the "Trooper's best friend"!
  6. Which armorer did you use, Ethan? You can usually order extra ABS pieces from the manufacturer. Some photos of the back would help, and you may have a few other issues, but we can help.
  7. Well, it's that time of the year when Christmas parades and troops are everywhere! 8. This is what you are looking for: https://www.amazon.com/E6000-230010-Craft-Adhesive-Ounces/dp/B007TSYNG8%3Fpsc%3D1%26SubscriptionId%3DAKIAJJY2YKHHLJKYIBNA%26tag%3Dslk03b1-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB007TSYNG8 Not sure if you are in the U.S., but be careful where you buy it from. There are certain online sellers (including Europe) that are selling FAKE E-6000. The genuine product is clearly marked Made in the USA, and has a batch number on each tube. They do not sell to distributors in China or Hong Kong, so if you order from a seller there, it is probably not the real stuff. If you have any doubts, you can contact the manufacturer at www.eclecticproducts.com, and they will let you know where to get it. The fake stuff is garbage. If you live in the U.S., the best places to go are Michael's or a reputable craft store. My Supply List may help you as well: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31404-supply-list-for-your-tk-build/
  9. Perfectly organized bench, Jon! Looks like you are well on your way to a great build. What happened with the PB tutorial I sent you, LOL? Your post should have the photo in it, like this: If you are still having trouble, PM me.
  10. Can't go wrong with ATA, Caleb. Great customer service and a high quality product!
  11. Vielen Dank, Christian .. Guter Punkt über die Stiefel!
  12. Thanks, Paul! I learn something new every day on here!!
  13. It may need a few adjustments, but you should be able to apply for EIB right after your basic approval, then Centurion. You should check out the Advanced Tactics section as well, and look over some of the submission threads (especially the RS ones*) which will give you a good idea of what to expect. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/113-advanced-tactics/ *Here is one example: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/39219-tk-12513-requesting-anh-stunt-eib-status-rs-651/
  14. Here is a brief explanation for ya' : http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35371-eib-and-centurion-what-do-these-terms-mean/
  15. Hopefully you will be shooting for Centurion, Curtis. Unfortunately, I don't think that double cap rivets will be allowed on the ab plate/ kidney connection for level 3. The heads on those are more rounded than the split rivets, which are almost flat (see photo). To be screen accurate, the only place you should need the double caps are to connect the thigh ammo pack. If you need a set of the split rivets, just PM me and I'll shoot you them out to ya'. For better adhesion, be sure to sand the tops down before painting them.
  16. Welcome, Skyar! There are literally hundreds (maybe thousands) of approved Troopers out there who had absolutely zero experience building anything that ended up with great looking sets of armor. It all comes down to research, patience, research, time, and research. Yes, I said research 3 times.... it's that important. You can't be in a rush building a TK kit, and there are hundreds of people here to help you every step of the way. If you decide to go with the RS Props, they make a fantastic set of armor. VERY screen accurate, and pretty much Centurion level ready right out of the box, (but you will have to apply for EIB first). The Anovos pre-built seems pricey to me. Plus, there is a wait, and as of now replacement parts are not available if needed. RS also has a fantastic reputation of great customer service. Whichever route you choose, we look forward to welcoming you to the 501st and FISD!
  17. Agreed, Brian. Unless you are Trooping in Antarctica, I would steer clear of neoprene, Jon. I have Trooped in 55 degree weather with just my regular compression suit and still managed to sweat a bit. This is the type of under suit shirt you will need: https://www.amazon.com/DRSKIN-SABB01-Compression-Tight-Running/dp/B00RMI80GE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480602395&sr=8-1&keywords=black+compression+shirt+men and pants: https://www.amazon.com/HEAD-Mens-Compression-Black-Large/dp/B011RTG4QQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1480602478&sr=8-3&keywords=black+compression+pants+men If the logo shows under your armor, you may have to wear them inside out or take a black Sharpie to it. They also make these in a one piece, but personally I prefer the separate top and bottom, just in case nature calls.
  18. Hallo Axel!
  19. WAY TO GO, Shawn! You gotta look at this this way, at least you know the specific issues to deal with, which makes it easier. I have every faith that you can get those changes done in no time, and look forward to your Centurion submission!
  20. You can cut them down with a hacksaw, Kurt. The ends can be rounded off and smoothed down with common sandpaper, which is what I used. Start with a rough grit (80) to round them off and remove the burrs, and then go to a 220 grit to finish and smooth them out them. It should take you less than 10 minutes to do. Almost there!!!!!!
  21. If you could post some photos that would be really helpful, Josh. I would also get in touch with Ben (DragonTrooper). He is the Imperial Attache for Squad 7 (N.E. Florida), and can be of assistance as well. If you haven't already done so, I would recommend signing up at the Florida Garrison's site and introducing yourself. Lots of great folks up there, and perhaps one of them is having an armor party you could attend.
  22. What part of Florida are you in, Josh?
  23. Wow....Just noticed something, Shawn. The "vent" covers and bottom of the cone need to be painted with the "Silver Fox" color spray paint. I will send you a partially used can free of charge, which will be more than enough to cover these areas. Just PM me.
  24. ABS can vary widely in color, but for hand guards you should be fine with most any shade of white.
