  1. abdomen button plate upside down? you really helped to make the suit fit your body... really nice job! give a shout out to mark and joe over at CFO, they can hook you up with a nice helmet! (they even make em up if you want to pay the extra!- really worth it in my opinion!)
  2. It can be supported by an aluminum pin. and I have the exact replica.
  3. you can get a real charging handle from apex gun parts in colorado. or you can get a resin one. I believe that I could send you a resin one, as I have some extras from making blasters that don't have them. (ESB london prop store, and ESB greeblie Stunt don't have charging handles!) great build!
  4. how would being approved be a bad thing?
  5. it's a nice build. and not just for snowtroopers! making an ANH version is fun, inner spring and metal scope rail. keep it that way! it's just a few small steps away from perfect! it was obviously used in cloud city from the screencap I showed!
  6. this is exactly the law that all canadian garrisons should look into. getting a license to perform at an event looks like it can be done! as a trooper in canada it would make sense to have this material posted on local garrison websites, and should have directions to troopers who want to get a "performance license" to carry blasters in public in canada. the major drawback to canadian troopers is the fact that the replica cannot be returned across the border!
  7. i have 2 ready to build right now.
  8. doopy do's does not have an ESB kit. this is a great example of tango d fett's ESB greeblie kit and the standard Doopy do's pipe detailing kit.
  9. The Greeblie Stunt version is what you have. it's a really nice build, but you're only missing out on the few little details to make it perfect. these are the areas that you should consider from the listings you have provided: # Remove front bayonet muzzle disk. this is the area where you put those nice allen heads inside the barrel tip. remove those and completely sand off the muzzle tip to that level. # Remove mag housing parts. all parts on the magazine well are removed, including the mag release, the clip lock. # Remove D-Ring mount. the rear end cap has no mount, D ring or anything on it. a greeblie stunt also has a T Track covering the rear holes beside the bayonet lug. here is a photo showing the front bayonet muzzle disk: you can clearly see from the front sights all being filled in that these are all resin guns but with different designs. and finally the pugman original screen used prop: the official greeblie stunt master that everyone should follow! I'll dress up these photos with some graphics describing every part by it's name again man, you've really got a great start to a perfect build!
  10. the esb greeblie stunt needs the following mods: front muzzle needs to be filed down. rear end cap needs to have no D ring or mount. also you need to have the flat spot near the bayonet lug and the proper location for the door catch and asprin. flathead screws on the clips and door catch and you should not have a cut out cocking handle notch or handle. otherwise it's a nice build. very close... but the end cap and muzzle are not correct.
  11. can any of those canadians here post a law from their books on this subject? lot's of opinions... but what does the law say? interesting opinions none the less! can anyone show laws in print re: toy prop guns.
  12. I have been wondering about this myself, but I plan to have the ROTJ T det anyway.
  13. nice arc reactors... giggity watts of power!!
  14. nice start on a good build!
  15. chicago screws 1/4" are the best.
  16. hmm... amazing! how about the rivets on the belt and the ROTJ thermal det? great work!
  17. UKG and nordic garrison are top of the game!
  18. I'm getting ready to build a TKC and I need the details for the blaster. I've seen photos somewhere before, but I was hoping that we could have a thread dedicated to them. any help? is it just an ROTJ version, with different T Tracks and muzzle? with working folding stock?
  19. I have the original m38/ and m40 scopes with mounting base for the sherman tank. there is no clip or LED assembly like an M38 A. there is nothing on the original scope mounting, or assembly to account for this part. none of the resin scopes I have have EVER had any casting sprue. the seam line is usually non existant on doopy do scopes. since he uses the glove mould concept, not a 2 part mould. it's obviously a piece of T Track. steve, for one single time in all this blaster work I have to respectfully disagree with you on this point. it's clearly a T Track.
  20. decals also work great for buttons. I personally would use the same brand of clear coat paint that you used to paint armor. then apply a non yellowing polymer UV protectant. like turtle wax 2001 super protectant. it's a nano polymer shine product, and sealer. mod podge has the potential to yellow? doesn't it?
  21. I have snaps, velcro and elastic on my side shims. they clamshell from front to back and it really makes the gap go away in photos.
  22. I have back length long hair, so I put all of it inside my shirt, then I add the bacalava with a lower face cover then I add the neckseal. no ponytail. this way my helmet actually fits on my head and I can see. the closed face baclava keeps the mic in my mouth. and keeps my chin from being seen. add to that an elastic chinstrap and you're gold.
  23. you could get an extra chest plate and some armor parts from a maker, and just swap out those parts. this way you'd have a clean TK, and the chest plate extra. you could put holes in the plate, and extra parts. the ATA abs kit probably would have some armor seconds that you could get. usually makers have parts that fail for a clean TK, but would work great for a zombie trooper.
  24. romfx seems just a tad too expensive for my taste. and it's a great idea to attach the parts to your harness instead of the armor. I put it on my suspender straps right under my chestplate. this way the weight of the electronics is carried by my body, and not the armor. I simply duct taped the Icomm to the bottom of the aker and the hook and waistband on the amp attaches it to the suspenders.
