  1. Metric (non-US), Standard (US) and yes they differ just enough to get most folks in trouble if they don't know any better lol. Keep up the awesome work
  2. Dremel to start, files for the details
  3. Looks great Thomas. 1. Blaster mounts are not screen accurate and the pack may not be approved by your garrison's GML if you have them. Check with your GML and ask if it's ok to have mounts, even after approval. Not all garrisons will allow them, period. That said, this is your costume 2. I cross (like an "X") mine in the back so it rides higher on my shoulders and under the shoulder straps. I made my own straps.
  4. Don't panic, it doesn't have to be perfect lol
  5. Congratulations Steve, looking great
  6. Looking good Florian, if it's not too late I suggest removing some of the ammo belt return edge just outside the ammo boxes. It should be roughly 1/8" or 3mm. Here's a reference photo
  7. What's the interior size of your TD end caps? This will give you an idea of what to start looking for, Secondly, at least here in the US you have to search for thinner walled pipe, it's not very common. Check Ace Hardware
  8. Looking great. As for the alignment I place white Velcro on the front of my boots and inside the armor. Keeps everything nice and tidy
  9. That is interesting. If my wife knew she would shoot me for not catching that lol
  10. I would suggest positioning it a little closer.
  11. Sign me up. I'll be back at GE in a couple weeks, may pick up a few of these then. What store were these in? Didn't see them when I was there.
  12. I feel a dark web sales page in the works lol JK
  13. Isn't DP located in Russia?
  14. Nice! Too bad Disney refuses to personalize anything Star Wars, this would be a nice addition to my collection.
  15. Hey David another solution would be to find a local plastics shop in your area and just replace the material. Couldn't be more than a couple bucks. I use Tap Plastics. Good luck no matter which direction you decide to take. Keep up the great work.
  16. Looking good Mark. As ABS80 so tactfully put it the shoulder bells could stand to be trimmed down a tad. I also suggest maybe lowering the biceps so that there's little to no gap between them and the forearms.
  17. My pleasure, troopers helping troopers.
  18. In addition to the above as you begin to install and check for fitment, before final gluing if you start to see cracking in the lower return edge corners you might want to remove all of it. Some armor material will crack in this area and removing all the lower return edge will help prevent that. Keep up the good work
  19. So looking at your photos you could use a few adjustments if you're up for it. Besides reducing and tightening the gaps between sections here's a few more areas that need attention. Thighs are disproportionate to the calves, they're too large and could stand to be reduced. Also, the cover strips are supposed to stop at the lower return edge, not cover it. They're also supposed to cover any gaps between the halves, notably at the top. Shins - The sniper knee is too off center and positioned at a awkward angle, it could stand to be centered and more verticle. Lastly I don't see any cover strips on the back of your calves, are you still working on these? How are your biceps coming? I noticed in an earlier post they looked to be assembled with "overlap" construction instead of the correct "butt and strip" like the other areas. Anyway, just a few things to be aware of. Keep up the good work.
  20. Unless they've changed their process this is normal for them. I would contact them anyways just in case, other then that be prepared to buy a shoe stretcher.
  21. Looking forward to your building. Looks like you've received so great info.
  22. Glued fully closed is required for approval Remove all wrist side return edge is only required for Centurion. It also greatly helps when entering and exiting your armor There are SDS Centurions that are built to butt and strip standards. Follow a suitable build thread (even this AM build), something that gives the correct building guidance. Start your own build thread if you haven't already. We can help as you build. Hope this helps
  23. If you need to adjust yes. Positioning depends on your arm length and it's different for everyone. Space the sections so they meet the criteria below. 1. Shoulder Bells should basically touch the shoulder covers. 2. The Biceps under the Bells. How much depends on 3 & 4 3. Roughly a 1/4" gap between the biceps and forearms 4. Forearm roughly ends at the wrist bone Hope this helps
