  1. Hey Christine welcome to the FISD. Fellow Shadowtrooper here. Also, have you visited the Special Ops division yet? https://specops501st.com/
  2. That is good news Arthur. More the merrier.
  3. Awesome! Great to see another FOTK build. Let us know how we can help
  4. Hey Jayke we would love to see your gasket process
  5. Hey Robert welcome to the FISD, and thank you for your service.
  6. It's alright Mason happens all the time
  7. Hey TB welcome to the FISD. Looking forward to your build
  8. Hey JR welcome to the FISD
  9. Hey James welcome to the FISD brother
  10. I have two sets also, one Anovos, another 3rd party. Both using 2" elastic which allows me to easily hide my buckle.
  11. Welcome Jeff. RS is fantastic armor, check with them though regarding your measurements. You want to be comfortable in it.
  12. This looks like a commission build from RS. I would contact them inquiring what type of glue was used to adhere the outer cover strips. If they used E6000 then as Glen mentioned maybe you can disassemble one side side (back side preferably), add a shim then put the cover strip back on. If they used CA glue then you take a risk of damaging the armor so check with them first though.
  13. Agreed, at this point you need to get specific information from your GML detailing exactly want to see.
  14. Outstanding job on your build Jesse . This is what the FISD is all about right here.
  15. Welcome to the FISD Robert
  16. The bell strap looks black to me as well, maybe a faded or off shade of black but still black. Maybe they used different supplier which could lead to different tones, who knows. My only question was, echoing you Jeff, why would the studio use a strapping color that doesn't closely match the under suit, especially in a high visible area? Is it one off, an anomaly? Inquiring minds want to know? lol
  17. Nice work Jayke Not sure how accurate you're shooting for but if your up for it the box that you cut the hole in is technically a separate piece from the rest of the forearm. Not quite sure how you would pull that off without some serious work. This would be a good time to consult your GML to see what they have to say. Reference photo
  18. Excellent news! Congratulations Ardeshir on another great build at EI.
  19. Some great info here, nice work Jeff. Thanks for the additional info also Reese and Germain. Germain do you have any photo references regarding the strapping color and type? This would be very helpful in my build.
  20. The million dollar question, jk. Fitment checking. I don't care if it's TM or AM every armor has to be cut to your body type/size. Every decent build thread here should detail how that individual trimmed the armor to their body type, Anovos included. The cut line on the Anovos armor is a simple guideline but not necessarily the final cut to fit. My suggestion is to start your own build thread if you haven't done so already, find a Centurion level Stormtrooper here then check their build thread, TM armor included. Mimic that build/s.
  21. Regarding the cracking, flexible body putty is your best friend with this armor but even then maximum thickness of that material is 1/8". To truly help reduce cracking you'll need to fill in seams with material that won't flex like plastic welder. Lastly and just as important if the paint doesn't flex with the plastic you'll be dealing with paint cracking issues regardless. Things to think about. Good luck brother we;re here to help if we can.
  22. Looking good so far Jarred. As for the belt, since the adjustment and buckle reside under the left soft pouches you should have ample (2+") space for adjustment. Roughly 75% of the movie belt sections were secured in place at the boxes and ends of the belt. That said once you wrap the belt around you snug you shouldn't have any sagging issues especially if the belt is resting on the posterior upper lip. Hope this helps
