  2. So I tried constructing my thighs per the instructions from other approved members in my local area, but it is not approvable by my GML. I am at a loss of what to do. This picture is my attempt at finding a better location for the cover strip, which apparently wasn't the issue. The issue appears to be with the ridges, as I had to expand the thighs a great deal to fit me. I do not have much expertise with ABS paste or a heat gun so I want to avoid using them. I feel like my only option left is to completely cut off the ridges, put a shim behind the open area, and paste in a shim over top to span the gap. And then slap the cover strip down the center. Do you guys see any other options here? Something easier perhaps? I've torn these thighs apart twice already per instructions from my GML, but the changes keep... well... changing every time I finish them.

  4. Thanks for the welcomes everyone! So far what I've heard about FISD is true, it is an awesome place!
  5. Hi all, I am BH-81989 from Serenno Squad in GT. I currently have 6 approved costumes- ESB Boba Fett, TFA Kylo Ren, FO Tie Pilot, ROTJ Royal Guard, Director Krennic, and R1 ISB Officer. We have a distinct lack of TKs in this area, and as I don't have any costumes I can beat the crap out of, I've decided I want to man up and build a TK. I've already built 2 costumes (3 if you count my ISB officer) this year, so I'm not exactly "allowed" to do another costume under "penalty of death" from my wife, but you know how it is. I'm at least doing my do diligence and spending 3 months researching as I usually do. Looking forward to getting out there in white armor one of these days!
