I'm drawing mine up right now but without completed armor to hook up to it's just a design. I'd be interested to see what you come up with.

My first though was to build a one piece body suspension from the shoulders down to the waist. From there connecting via nylon webbing to every section that needs support. Picture a back support brace with tentacles. Any thoughts / feedback on this idea?

Casting question humm! Well I think NE is derived from RS and FX however, to what % NE is RS and % FX is a good question. AM is derived from FX so I can't say how much what goes into NE to be honest. Hope that doesn't confuse you too much.

Have you tried isolating one of the bumps, heating it with a heat gun then collapse the area? Or Grind one bump off and fill the hole? or...

I would highly suggest buying AM2 ears and save yourself a lot of grief however, I love to mod things. When someone once told me I was trying to reinvent the wheel when I created a DIY calf closure clips, I simply replied I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel I just found a better way to mount it on the car. With that said, costuming is all about fabrication and modification. You're not recasting a complete set of armor here, that shouldn't even be a issue, though there are those that will argue with me for some reason or another. Bottom line, deciding whether to mod your ears or buy new is solely up to you. Being creative is a part of being human. On the official side, If you decide to mod just make sure it falls within the CRL guidelines.

Funny, all the speculation of what the armor will be made of, what comes in the kit and what that will be made of. Hope everyone realizes that until ANOVOS states "this what you're going to get" it's all best guess people. It's already been proven that ANOVOS will, and has changed their minds giving buyers no notice. You can stay here and ponder the what ifs or go read build threads, learn and encourage others. Just a thought

If it's any consolation it's not a race. Take your time as you're doing. The only reason mine is blazing is because I've built before, I mentor others and I'm not behind the learning curve as with most. With that said I had to go back and trim the armor to fit the owner which has taken me a bit longer than expected. Little word of advice regarding the wife, buy her something non-Star Wars related, take her out to dinner, something to get her mind off the whitezone that's turning into the bottomless pit lol

Looking very nice Chris. If you don't mind me asking did you use some space age polish on that armor or maybe a shot of clear coat, every thing is so chiney, as we say here in California.

Try to follow the contour of the helmet as I've illustrated. Install your "S" seal and lets see how it looks.

As long as it looks like this you're golden. Edit: Actually it looks like the first tube stripes on each side should sit closer to the front of the tube.
