  1. And look at the size, 5"×3", that's one compact battery Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  2. Ran across a new battery type. Being I got shafted with the Anker purchase I'm gonna try this. http://www.amazon.com/Antigravity-Batteries-AG-XP-5-USB-Port/dp/B00MYA6OCW/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1458680161&sr=8-8&keywords=Antigravity+Batteries
  3. Good question, it had to do with the shape of my troopers legs and wanting the two sides come together as uniform looking as possible at the top when finished.
  4. Wow the Rav is almost a full 1" longer (7.5") and 1/2" wider then the Anker......... THAT SUX!!!!
  5. I just had my Anker charger purchase refunded. Apparently he sold out ah hahahaha
  6. The amp power supply battery is 7.4v. Good news I just found a voltage regulator. Once it arrives I'll test it and post the results here. Now to find something to replace the dreaded usb drive
  7. So besides the fans what are you looking to power?
  8. Is there something I need to do since I will no longer need the amp for the hovi speakers? I'm not sure I follow, what are you using?
  9. WOW! Origami frustrates the heck out of me, watching this unfold is just awesome.
  10. Congrats Eric. Chris G. had jokingly mentioned you two plotting to take over the empire. I called shenanigans hahaha. Looking forward to the updates.
  11. Hey Brian would you mind posting a few pictures from different angles so we have a better idea of what you're trying to describe.
  12. Good point, your best bet is to contact the mfg technical support and ask them directly. Most do, as a safeguard. Thumb drive, wish I had an answer for you. I know the older ones were not very efficient. What I need to do is sit down and find a realistic solution. It's not rocket science, finding the right components at a reasonable price is crucial. Until recently I was the only one on here interested this sort of stuff. Time to do some digging.
  13. I may have to buy the RAVPower just to see how it functions. Regardless, as tech changes, components getting smaller and more powerful it's a bright future for us, though it would be nice to predict what's coming down the pipe so a universal harness can be made that's interchangeable.
  14. Definitely looks like a viable option, thanks for the support
  15. My Pleasure. Velcro under the holster? I suspect to give the belt strength in that area. The section at the end? I have no idea to be honest. The belt simply wraps around your waist as you've discovered. BTW the build has been done for a few weeks, I'm waiting for the 501st approval before posting any more pics, but I monitor the thread anyways. The front ab snaps are what hold the belt to the armor, the remainder floats on top around your waist. If your kidney and ab overlap each other on the side you may trim it more if you wish but I would double check all your measurements before doing so.
  16. Dang these things are like gold now. Dreading the day they give up the ghost, or smoke. Any earbuds will do actually. The battery supply is another issue. The Anker Astro Pro 2 is unique being it can power the 5v and 12v/9v post simultaneously. Unfortunately it's replacement will not from what I understand. BUMMER! I would love to see more peeps make this, or at least something similar.
  17. haha actually you're in the best position Tim. We're a few months away from updating the CRL for EIB and Cent, you're poised to build it as the requirement foundation is set. Everyone else will have to go back and make mods, including yours truly.
  18. Better hurry up I just bought one of the three the guy had for sale. I'm kicking myself now for not buying another at $79 a couple months ago.
  19. Thoughts and prayers from CA.
  20. Thanks Jared, patience played a huge part though, I know a lot of people that rushed to get their armor done (excluding Alpha group) that are now regretting it.
  21. Correct. BTW we won't be asking you to drag out the micrometer to prove cover strip widths
  22. Here's another pic
  23. Thanks Brenton. Took me long enough lol
  24. Heck my ATA forearms are so big in comparrison to my arms they flop all over the place haha
