As Paul stated as long as it has the mesh between the teeth there shouldn't be an issue. If one decides to hollow out between the teeth and install the mesh than whatever however, I suggest speaker cloth behind that to obstruct the wear's face from view.

Wow that was fast. We'll be with you shortly Daniel -
Great job Tom . Though the black trim line in certain areas around the traps and tears appears to be a little thick, overall beautiful work.

Hey Brien, there's no set standard or requirement however, a good rule of thumb is at leaset 1/2" of clearance between the armor and your skin in all areas. Bottom line your body needs breathing room. Hope this helps

TLJ Executioner / Judicial Laser Ax Specifications Q&A
ukswrath replied to ukswrath's topic in TLJ Stormtrooper
Awesome thanks Andrew -
Looking to get some specs on the TLJ Laser Ax? I figured starting a thread where whoever wants to input can do it here. Everything about the Ax is up for discussion. Post away

Hey Joe you're not being a pain, that's what we're here for. This armor was meant to fit the individual whom I was building it for yes however, as stated in the build once you make the preliminary trim cuts you need to take pre fitment check. This is done by either placing the armor on your body with an under suit on and/or using a fabric tape measure to your body then the armor partially assembled. If you miscalculated you can always add material to the back on the armor. This may include disassembly and reassembly if needed.

TK-99665 requesting ANH Hero EIB status [TM][768]
ukswrath replied to TheSwede's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hey Daniel, thanks for you patience and your EIB application. Let's do this. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Absolutely beautiful armor build and it fits you perfectly. That being said, Andrew and myself are happy to announce your armor displays and the required components for L2. Welcome to Expert Infantry . Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. The goal of this section is to improve to overall look of the armor. Any suggestions mentioned here are ultimately up to you the applicant to fix. Good news we only have two minor areas to mention here, both of them regarding the helmet. First is the Vcoder paint lines could be more defined, though not bad yours appear to be a bit soft. Below your photo is a canon reference photo we've provided to compare. Reference photo Lastly and this could be a simple photo issue, but the inner base section of the hovi tip is to be white. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions:In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. Good news we have nothing to add at this time. That's it, great job on your armor. Time to get out there and make the Empire proud and hope to see you at Centurion. -
When looking to save some dolla dollas those will definitely work

Glad to hear it helped. Pay it forward

TK-32700 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB status [TM][767]
ukswrath replied to TK-32700's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hey Simon, thanks for you patience and your EIB application. Let's take a look. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: It appears all the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays and the required components for L2. Andrew and myself would like to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry . Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a few areas to go over here so let's get to it. We'd like to start off with saying beautiful job on build, very nice work. Taking a look at your helmet first, there's a couple areas that need a little TLC. Nice work on the hand paint. If we had any suggestions it would be to thicken the lines around all the traps, tears and rear vents. We're also suggesting you revisit the Vcoder outer edges, especially the lower section, it should be more detailed. We've posted some reference photos below yours to give you an idea of what were looking to see. Reference photos. Next up the shoulder bell to chest and back plate gap. Though yours aren't bad, there should be minimal gap between the shoulder bells, chest and back plates. We're recommending you tighten the connecting straps and possibly remove more lower return edge allowing the bells to move closer to the chest and back plates. Reference photo After that we have the shoulder plate alignment. Yours appear to be off center a smidgen in relation to the back armor they should be centered on. Take a look at the reference photo provided. Reference photo Chest plate should cover the ab. In the next couple areas we'll talk about if the Ab plate was to be brought up roughly 1" (25mm) it would solve a few issues, first being the chest plate, again it should cover the Ab. Reference photos Kidney to ab alignment. As mentioned above if you were to bring the Ab up it should solve this alignment issue also. Reference photo/s Ab button paint. Similar to the helmet we're asking you to revisit the Ab buttons and touch up the outer lines. Cleaning up the outer lines it would give the area a more uniformed look. Reference photo Legs. The thighs could stand to come up 1/2"-3/4" (15mm-25mm). Also, the shins should be aligned with the thighs. Taking into account your feet are turned outward slightly the shins still appear to be off center quite a bit. There's a few methods mentioned in build sections to help keep them aligned and in place. Reference photo TD clip alignment, though yours are not too bad it's still worth mentioning. The clips should be against the end caps. Reference photo And lastly, blaster details. The Scope should be more black and less brass. A little black weathering should do the trick. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. Good news at this time we have nothing to add here. That's it, great job on your armor. Hope to see you at Centurion. -

TK-19233 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status [WTF] [766]
ukswrath replied to shashachu's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Joseph sells hand guards with cheese cloth built in. I think I have 3-4 sets. Simple E6000 works great -
lol, it does appear that way. The good news is since The Force Awakens the armors are now very similar in design, even Rouge One designs are similar to the FOTK. Once you've built one the next should get easier anyways.
-
Yea I went very detailed in some areas. I was shooting for screen accuracy in areas that aren't required to be. The thread will help whether you want it canon detail or not. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

TK-19233 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status [WTF] [766]
ukswrath replied to shashachu's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hey Sha Sha thank you for your EI application. Great to see another fellow GGG member applying for the higher ranks. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All your required submission photos have been posted. Beautiful job on your build. Andrew and I are happy to say your armor meets all EIB requirements. Welcome to Expert Infantry Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor and accuracy. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Again, these are suggestions and recommendations. The accuracy is ultimately up to you. We only have a couple areas to mention here so let's get to it. Not a huge deal but we noticed your left shoulder cover has a heavy bend in it. It should gradually following the contour of the armor. You've done a fabulous job adjusting this armor to fit your height however, you might want to give the covers and upper back a hot water bath to contouring them to your body. Doing this may help in the next section also. Reference photo The back plate should not cover the kidney plate, it should rest on top of it. Also, the posterior should be underneath the kidney not behind or on top of it. Reference photo And lastly for Centurion, if you choose to shoot for it we're highly suggesting you paint or weather the blaster scope black. There's a little too much brass showing. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for your Centurion application if you choose to apply. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. We only have one area that requires changing. The CRL states the hand guards are to be flexible. You'll need to replace your current plastic hand guards before you apply for Centurion. Reference photo That's it Sha Sha great job. Now its time to get out there and make the empire and our garrison proud. Hope to troop with you some day.
