@Glen, that's a nice crisp TD image, isn't that the one in use already? Perhaps if we had a weathered CRL for RotJ, Pauls image could be very useful in that, but there is an obvious difference in the width of those TD belt clips from the current CRL. If we can get more supportive images of narrow clips, there is a potential; CRL change right there. A step closer to accurate and something very simple.

I agree with what you say here Dan. The fine line is that the CRL's are designed for base level entry. The higher levels were an afterthought brought about on FISD to enhance the look of FX armour which was the only available kit back then. Centurion itself came later on in the piece. The reason DO's have been using screen references has always been more about those higher levels and showing applicants how to look more accurate for those levels so what better reference to use. We are not the RPF, not everyone buys the same armour make, and we are doing our best not to look elitist as we have been labeled in the past. Yes the best representation for a CRL image would be a screen used photo or screen capture but the more we do that at a basic level, the more we remove the 501st element from the picture. Look at what is happening to merch now, do we really want to go down the same path offering no flexibility to members who have zero interest in aiming for the top. Don't get me wrong, I love screen accurate, but I as always there is a bigger picture and I do try and think laterally about that.

The TD image is perfect btw, definitely can use that I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Paul I really appreciate the images. I may need to do some homework on this but most of the images used in costume CRL’s are of costumes made by 501st members down to the parts break up. Happy to be wrong on this as source material such as your screen used images are obviously the best. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree Glen, simple things like that still got missed but we need some good images and then its an easy update.

I think this is possibly from the TK commander CRL and was copy pasted by mistake to the RotJ CRL. It absolutely does not belong there and should be removed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Correct on all accounts above. There is a scrub done in Feb on mass to pick up mismatches. Affiliation allows you to vote in the Detachment elections which we would love all troopers to do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anzo's TFA FOTK/TLJ Executioner Builds (KB) aka the Terrible Twofer!
Sly11 replied to Anzo's topic in TFA Build Threads
Congratulations AJ, you look fantastic! -
Alright, here we go. We call our dog Ma Bookie, or Bookie for short. Lineage: In the extended cut of A New Hope, there is a scene where Han is confronted by Jaba the Hutt in a hanger bay, yep the scene where Boba Fett is standing to the side. In Huttanese, Jabba says "Han ma bookie" which translates to "Han my boy", hence Ma bookie, my boy or just Boy Consequently, now every time my wife or I see a Labradoodle ( our dogs breed) we call them all Bookies lol

Episode 9 Stormtrooper research (Caution Spoilers Ahead)

The knights of Ren, very reminiscent of the Seven Samurai. Be nice to see them have a good bit of screen time. -
Keep up the great commentary Jessy, also looking forward to some photos of your build progress.

ShadyP's FOTK built thread (Backstage Props - preorder FOTK)
Sly11 replied to ShadyP's topic in TLJ Build Threads
We had a 3 month grace period on the OT TK CRL amendments after they were published, so there is no reason why the FO CRL's will be any different. We are not about making things impossible for members who have started construction without plenty of notice,so you should be fine -
Project : Shocking (Shock Trooper Build)

Nice work, keep it up -
Great post Mark, we all love seeing that much ABS in a single image. My AP is 5 years old now and still going strong. I've built another 3 for members of my garrison including your most current version and they are as good as ever. There are probably a few ways to mount the sniper plate, but as Glen mentioned, it would be great to see a few images and description right from the source. Great work mate and I hope you can continue to offer great armour for years to come.

Nice share Justin, why aren't you an attache yet?

Agreed, and this is certainly why the ACD, who only have 8 costumes will pursue it. -

To be perfectly honest, this may well go to ACD Thank you maninthesuitcase (Chris) for bringing this to my attention. In their mission statement it does say the words "in control of a vehicle" so if we want it, we will have a fight on our hands. -

Episode 9 Stormtrooper research (Caution Spoilers Ahead)
Sly11 replied to Alay's topic in TROS Stormtrooper
We should challenge it I feel. Would be great to have a new Stormtrooper for the last movie in the story arc. My points would be Looks like a FO TK aside from a couple of soft parts. Is predominantly white, shares a similar helmet and upper body armour. The vehicle is not a traditional speeder bike in the fact it looks land bound and jet troopers launch from it or drivers are thrown from it if it crashes. Maybe Pathfinders are already thinking this is a TK not a TB? I haven't checker their forums to see if they have started anything though so if i get some time later today, i shall do some research. -

I’d like to echo Paul’s words. Glen is not one to simply just welcome someone to our boards, he almost always offers up immediate advice and supports that with links to the pertinent sections of our boards. He is an asset to the detachment and you can easily tell he does live by our mantra of “Troopers helping troopers” Congratulations on 15,000 posts and thank you for everything you do.
