  1. Of all things, I'm using socks to fill in the magazine pouches! XD
  2. I think you're going to need more than 25 for a run! I'm not a HWT yet, as I'm looking at getting a pack build. Already have my Pauldron and MP40 magazine pouches. Please keep my name for 2 patches (jacket and vest)!
  3. If you're basing the HWT from Battlefront, there's no antenna on the pack.
  4. Your build looks great and has reinspired to looking into getting the materials for the pack. I have my Pauldron and MP40 magazine pouches recently. I'm planning on building the DLT-19 and converting a decommissioned British Sterling to the Blaster.
  5. That scope looks impractical. I know it's future tech. But assuming the new helmet has a HUD system, there's no need for a scope. And in that helmet, can you imagine seeing a Trooper (although vision seems to be opened up compared to the original) concentrating and looking through the scope just seems stupid.
  6. I'm going to have to watch this later, video keeps buffering So far from what I've seen is really good! The CG isn't great, but gets the job done. I look forward to seeing the rest of this and more movies done!
  7. Oh that's really nice! May I have a copy of the thread of your DLT-19 build? I'm opening up my Kenner to get the wiring to install into a decommissioned British Sterling that I am converting to the Blaster.
  8. If you have a Dollar Tree or Walmart nearby, I use Goo Gone. This stuff is cheap and works for cleaning off marks and paint, but safe to use on your TK. Magic Eraser is good to use as well.
  9. While watching Star Wars Rebels, there are Stormtroopers with black pauldrons that are General/Moff Tarkin's personal Stormtrooper security. And I'm pretty sure that he doesn't want to be surrounded by low grade Privates
  10. I have a Stormtrooper kit from AP and love it. The trim on my helmet is crazily not even glued! It's tight enough to stay in place. I purchased the headset helmet liner from Trooperbay. Now, on his video for applying the caps for the liner, he uses hotglue. Instead, I used Industrial strength velcro. That way you can get it installed and make your adjustments. Eventually I'll update the helmet liner with tactical helmet padding; which you wouldn't be able to to do if you hotglue the caps.
  11. I'm 5'5 and have friends who are Stormtroopers that are 6'. No matter what height you are, you're going to get asked that 'short for a Stormtrooper' line. And it's mostly GUYS that say it. So I quickly remind them that they're in the wrong attire to be the princess! (Because that's Princess Leia's line)
  12. I'm so glad you brought this topic up because I was wondering about that as well. I think I'm going to try the Meguire's Plastix. Because I want to protect the armor and give it a nice shine
  13. Noob question alert! I'm planning on getting my shoulder pouches soon. How do you wear them on your shoulder/breast? Are there strapping to hold them up and how would you make the pouches stay in place and not slide around?
  14. I'm going to start my conversion to HWT from my TK soon. But I'm a little confused with the whole 'continuity' issue. Now tat Disney has taken over, all books and games are no longer 'canon' unless stated. So technically HWT are no longer canon because of the Battlefront game. Or is it? Now I've been watching Star Wars Rebels and have seen Stormtroopers with pauldrons with no combat pack. Moff Tarkin has a personal escort with Black pauldrons and E-11 Blasters. The Stormtroopers with the orange pauldrons seem to be unit leaders. No combat packs. But all Stormtroopers are wearing grenade canisters. I'm not a fan of the backpack or weathering like the TD. But I like the idea of getting the ammo pouches and pauldron (black). Can I do this? Eventually I'll get the other weapons and backpack if I need to. Any advice is most welcome!
  15. I've been thinking of switching to HWT after I became a TK in October of last year. I thought about TD, but I don't like the idea of dirtying up my armor LOL! Can I get basic acceptance with out the pack? And then get the pack? I mean, I can remove the drop boxes, and get the pauldron and ammo pouches no problem.
  16. I've thought about doing the transition from TK to TD for a little bit. I'm not a big fan of the backpack and dirtying the costume. So I'm actually considering the Heavy Weapons Stormtrooper.
  17. Trooperbay has what you are looking for. They even have the pauldron and TD sniper knee plate, parts for the backpack.
  18. As for the scope lens, I bored out the scope. I cut out round pieces to match the size of the reticle, and placed jeweler's lens, which magnified the 'laser target reticle'
  19. Wow, job well done! I too thought that was a real scope!
  20. I've been thinking of getting a mini charger/battery for my Samsung and put the phone in the helmet behind the frown; and use the camera as a mini view screen
  21. I'm considering adding to my TK to be a TD. But when I watch Star Wars Rebels, there are Stormtroopers with pauldrons, in which they act more like security. Since Rebels is now 'canon', could I get the pauldron, ammo pouches and still be official? There is a Heavy Weapons Stormtrooper, which is based off the Star Wars Battlefront game; but I'm not really interested in wearing the backpack. Let alone 'dirtying' my armor and getting a new ab plate for TD. Could I still add the pauldron and ammo pouches and just be a TK? Because I really like the Security guard aspect on Rebels.
  22. Mine came with the helmet from Authentic Props
  23. Congratulations for getting in the right direction. We were all noobs too. Heck, I was accepted into the 501st Legion in October! Do your research and ask questions! And if possible, once you have chosen who to go with, I recommend paying a little extra to have it trimmed! Less work and stress for you! LOL
  24. They already have Terror Bears! Came from Japan. Saw them in a model/toy shop in Hiroshima in 2003. As for the Doopydoos, don't they come from the UK? Overseas mailing does take some time. So be patient
