I am truly blown away by the scale of this operation. Anyone who bought a set should be jumping up for joy. I can't wait to see a finished kit. I agree with Eric - while maybe not perfect what we are seeing is way above most Legion members. We'll need to order wa more EI coins as nearly everyone coming in could be EI out of the box. Amazing, simply amazing.

We basically have 2 areas: 501st only, and multi-club. Some troops are 501st only and we put them there. Most troops are open to our affiliated clubs, e.g. Rebel Legion. Our local mercs at least do not reflect a positive experience so we do not partner with them, though we have done a few things with the R2 builders, Saarlac, and Saber's Guild.

There are charts on this on the 501st site. There are 12 people who are 18 years old in the Legion. The highest peaks on the graph is between 39 and 46 actually for men, however there is a gradual build up from 18 to 38, but then a steep drop after 46, which goes to next to nothing after 53. Women are more evenly distributed until about 45, then like men fall out. The biggest numbers - most of the age distribution - is between 30 and 48. It is an expensive hobby, and my guess is that most people under 30 don't have the money and most over 50 feel "too old", as at that point many of the troopers start being at the ages of kids. Or, maybe after 50, as many are still in their peak earning years & being empty nesters, they focus more on work and "mature" stuff... Or...by that point they have probably been in the Legion 10 to 15 years and just want to take a break.

Things were faster in the FX days - already pre-trimmed and for the most part it was just put on glue/velcro & strapping and done. Probably 4 hours with 2 people who know what they are doing. RT would be crazy fast to do as well as like FX it is already pre-trimmed and the helmet is already assembled.

For flying I bought a hard shell suitcase and take my helmet as carry-on on a helmet bag. I have one of the basic Rugged Totes and they are huge, but some day I keep telling myself I like the looks of a Stanley box where people take the time to put in foam so that nothing gets damaged. My armor always takes a beating

FWIW, that graphic above was made up from a pattern I suggested years ago. They are for fun only and not meant to be canon. Maybe some day some LFL author will retcon it though, who knows...
