Someone updated my WTB post. Not sure who did (I'll check with staff, had to be one of them). I hadn't bothered to update the 501st only version of that page. Jim is on the open thread. I'll update the 501st only to show differences between the closed vs. open info. Usually the only difference is contact info & pricing. Everything else should be the same.

OK guys, thanks to a lot of hard work by Eric (eqdizzle), we have a pretty darn good CRL for review. I think it looks good. I spoke with the LMO about this as numerous CRLs we own need to start allowing dirt, or I should say light weathering. There are a few ways we can standardize this in our language, so we'll see what he says. May be the weekend before we get an answer.

At some point it will be. The short answer is: talk to your GML though. Even if it's in the CRL, they can reject you if they feel the weathering isn't done right, or the armor doesn't fit right, etc. Weathering can be tricky and I've seen GMLs accept sandtroopers I'd have rejected as an example. The CRL will likely provide 2 options on R1 TK, one that says it can be lightly scuffed and another to be emulating the prison guard, e.g. heavily weathered.

Only your GML can approve your costume. I'm still working on the wording.

Yup, which is why it will likely stay here. Even the original ANH TK's had some scuffing, etc. in numerous scenes. I just want to ensure I get the language right.

The short answer is that no one aside from staff has permissions to reply to announcements. Some staff - including me - forgot that last bit. Moving forward we'll be locking the newsletter threads just to keep people honest. Announcements are just that, and discussions thereof should be held elsewhere.

Aside from ROTJ, I don't think I've ever seen a bad scene where stormtrooper are concerned. It will be a fun winter break

So I'm trying to get some work done on a post and I found myself mesmerized by Glen's (gmrhodes13) signature. It's pretty cool and also neat to see all he has accomplished in the Legion in story mode. Probably the next coolest is Toddo's. He - I believe unless I'm mistaken - owns the record for most Legion approved costumes and it takes several banners to show case them all. If he had a clone for every custom he has, he could actually fill out a garrison application by himself. Some sigs are beautiful non-rotating designs, but it seems to me that some folks are really clever with animated gifs. It reminds me of the old days in the 90's when people actually installed screen savers. The best one ever was one called Johnny Castaway, which was the worlds first story telling screen saver. Henry - if you are going to photoshop the shadow on the blaster, can you please combine the 2 in to one image? Then I can simply upload it direct?

Man, this topic is hot, I can barely keep up with the replies. Here where I'm at: For the above, please see the CRL again. There was a typo that prevented you seeing the L2/L3. Henry - those first two I can use. Ideally the shadow on the top one will not be there if you have time. If you can get pix of the holster & baton in the same shape (photoshopped) as the blaster, I'll get that in now. Also - there were a few sections of the CRL where the L2/L3 areas were hidden. I fixed those.

If you can get a clean picture of it, I'm happy to add it as an optional accessory. Cool eh? Ted - you are the first to ever try this.
