  1. OK, I think I got everyone settled. I did a bulk update but for a bunch of you, your PP email addresses are not the same as your PP ones, so I can to do it manually. Thanks for your patience & support.
  2. And with that - goal achieved! Thanks everyone - this is a huge relief for me and the web team.
  3. The short answer is that we are keeping the original HWT for historical reasons (the members who have that costume would kill us if we even thought of trying to move it to MEPD). Any new HWT's are going to MEPD.
  4. FYI we are about $150 away from target. Almost there...
  5. QFT. There are many such strange anomalies esp in TPM. You could edit down to about 30 minutes the scenes worth watching and get a decent film out of it.
  6. Is there a pattern that can be used to do a find/replace? I can run a database update on certain posts if so, e.g. older than a certain date.
  7. I like this too. We have a TIPS/HOWTOs area but this sounds a lot more specific and it would be much easier than looking at build threads. BTW, the Go to Work photo is awesome
  8. Yes! 50% of the way there - way to go guys
  9. FYI, we've collected about $250 as of now towards our goal. Almost 33% of the way there.
  10. PLEASE remember everyone to send it as a gift. Else a portion of your hard earned $$ goes to PayPal fees.
  11. I'm totally cool with updating the baton, but the language before I wasn't sure on. What is the latest? Sorry to ask, but it's my daughter's birthday today and I could use some help there as I'm juggling many things.
  12. Please see below that I am copying from another thread. In reality we should actually ask MEPD if they will cover the BF2 version then on their detachment, and we stick with the original HWT. Unless there is some really strong reason otherwise, that is what we'll do. It will keep our HWT based on the original character it covered, which was the intent. SE sandtrooper CRL is currently being finalized on MEPD as it is. No reason to duplicate work. //// ::Raises Hand:: I can answer this one Actually in the original canon, every armored trooper is a stormtrooper. The term sandtrooper was coined by the Legion, and even Biker Scouts are stormtroopers in specialized gear. This is why in many books/sources they don't differentiate between stormtrooper subtypes. Just because something is a stormtrooper does not mean that FISD will have that costume. Detachments usually focus on a costume category and costume categories can also be logically grouped by armor type to avoid duplication of effort between detachments. In the old days, the split was that FISD had film canon TKs and SpecOps had everything else (MEPD had sandys as MEPD predates FISD). As more TK costumes came out in the EU that were pretty much painted TK's (e.g. TKC), it didn't make sense for them to to go SpecOps as aside from paint all the armor building and sourcing materials were already on FISD. So, the new split became: MEPD->Sandtroopers FISD->Clean TK based troopers (even painted TKs) SpecOps->Any TK that required specialized armor or parts (except for Magma/Blackhole for historical reasons) FISD kept HWT simply because MEPD didn't want it. It was originally supposed to go there. Times change and MEPD under a more visionary leadership wants to be home for all "deployed" TKs. This is why we are moving all dirty costumes to MEPD, including the Jeddha TK, Crystal Patrol TK and the Sullest Magma trooper, even though they are based on regular TK armor. But just like Black Hole/Magma stay with SpecOps as exceptions for historical reasons, the HWT remains on FISD. Hope that helps.

  14. We can no longer continue hosting FISD on our current server and will be moving. Most likely, the FISD server will be run by the Legion web team and the FISD team will just be responsible for keeping the software up to date. We give up a little bit in terms of independence, but we gain much in terms of performance and support. I'm finalizing the details with our current server admins Eric (Darth Aloha) and Mathias (Locitus) this month. One other change is that it will mean instead of collecting funds for ourselves, the call for monetary support will go to the Legion. When FISD first started Greg (V'Pier) was our server admin, then I took over those duties for a bit, then it got to be too much. As we always need at least two server admins (a primary and a backup), I truly think long term having the Legion's web team manage the servers centrally could be the best long term action. In any event, there will be some downtime when we move servers, which we have to do one way or another. Stay tuned! For 2018, we still need to pay our last bill, and our share of the bill (which runs Aug 2017-Aug 2018) is $816.53. Please paypal to [email protected] (me) and I'll put a "stop" when we've reached that amount. For your kind contribution you will receive a supporters badge. Thanks everyone!
  15. Being able to be mobile is a really good pressure test. Ideally you can jog and move about and not have any mishap. It's not uncommon for people to build their TK and walk a few steps around the house, then get to a troop or parade and find that their mobility is restricted in the real world. For the arms, you can let the biceps down more. People some to like trying to tuck them up under the shoulder bells for some reason, but if you look at ANH on most troopers they don't really overlap. The strap from bell to bicep is really more to keep them from rotating than holding them up, and on one of my older suits I just used foam padding and not a strap at all.
  16. Way to go! You are the first TK that has been gone through pre-approval to approval. You should celebrate for sure So, Expert Infantryman can't be far behind, right ;-)
  17. Nice - thanks!
  18. You guys could certainly try to do a group run. There are a few differences if you look at the TFA & TLJ. Some are mandatory at L1, some at L3. Most notably is the helmet and thermal detonator, but the cod is also different at the L3 area. Do not the construction details are different in certain parts, so if you want to go L2/L3 there are some small differences on the limbs.
  19. As a GML, I'd like to see a back shot too, and usually a right profile before I'd given a formal thumbs up. So far I'm not seeing any red flags. You may want to try to taper the bottoms of the thighs a little, but that IMHO would not be a blocker. Overall you did a good job getting that armor to fit you correctly, and I'm liking the little details on the helmet.
  20. Awesome! Who is BSP btw? Those action shots are excellent - wish I could troop with you some day
  21. Looking good - love the Hero look. TM FTW!
  22. FWIW, if he's very dirty, the Mimban will likely to go MEPD. They have the dirty R1s...
