  1. It's kinda sorta up to your GML. Technically weapons are not part of any costume standard except for Sith Lords. Most GML's will require TD's to have a BFG whether they are MEPD or not. Considering that 1/3 of all Legion sandtroopers are MEPD, it's a fair assumption that when the CRL comes out it will specify one. At least, the draft CRL specified one. While you may get a pass w/o one, I'd plan on buying/making one sooner than later if I were you. My $.02 as a GML and long time MEPD member.
  2. I've seen some folks try to do this, but to do it right not only would you have to strip off and re-apply the weathering every time, you also have to have a spare shin, ab plate, and easily swappable stickers for your bucket. Really not worth the effort for most.
  3. There are costume designators and your Legion ID. Your Legion ID is sometimes called a TKID, even if someone does not have a TK costume. That number is yours for life. Mine is 8020. Then there are costume designations. TK = stormtroopers, TD = sandtroopers, etc. You get a designator based on your costume, and can have multiple. Most folks do indeed have more than one costume. Thus, I'm TK/TD-8020. By the end of this year I hope to be ID/IC/IN/TK/TD-8020 Usually your acceptance is just a few days turn-around. Unless your GML is on vacation there's no reason for it to take > 1 week.
  4. Agreed. I'm in the same boat as Tony wrt to blaster. Will definitely give Nathan a shout once this is settled.
  5. That's how it's looking, again unless there is evidence otherwise.
  6. Wow, a hijacked thread but for a good cause. I'll take ownership of updating the Elite standards to comply with this, unless there is evidence to support otherwise.
  7. I'll own this weenie up then. Twas me who got the wrong pix for ESB. Man, and no one else noticed :-p Sorry mates!
  8. Bernard - do you have a good screen cap? I just don't have one at the right angle/light to be sure. The ref I got looked the same when I checked it, though Lex, the EBS do not have Hengstler counters as Mark's does (Sorry Mark, it's got to go). I agree though, tough to be *this* close.
  9. My bubble is totally busted. I didn't even think to check. OK, someone somewhere needs to make some. It's a holding back a lot of folks :-p
  10. I looked through the thread again Jay and feel it should be a pass. It's just dang problematic on the FX to get it perfect with everyone's different body types. This pix looks fine to me: Perhaps we were too picky at the time. Scott, what do you think?
  11. Guys - great to hear of progress. I hear of many guys who are just one mod or two away - don't stop! It would be like getting almost to the peak of Everest and then turning back. You guys can do it - you're almost there! Let's get Scott busy - he's not got enough stuff to do
  12. Dude! Where did you get the blaster greeblies? I'm dying for some for a hyperfirm I have.
  13. What's left? Can you guys chime in on what you have left to do? I'm just trying to get an idea of the "pain points" that prevent this from happening. We should have 100 by the end of the year as a goal.
  14. I'm just curious guys as there are only 11 folks on the Elite page http://www.whitearmor.net/elite/ What's holding people up from taking the plunge? The way we wrote the standards it shouldn't be that hard/expensive the achieve. Ab plate buttons, shoulder straps, and belts are now easily available. Is is just a matter of cutting the back plate? That seems the only thing that actually takes effort to do. Or am I missing something????
  15. Congratulations again Terrell! A fantastic team for sure and I think the creation of merchandising positions is one that is sorely needed. Congrats to the staff too - should be the best year FISD has had yet.
  16. Congrats to Terrell on being the new DL
  17. Ed's been more than just DL for the past 6 months. Ed was with FISD waaaaay back in the beginning and was the first member of the command staff aside from myself, serving as XO the entire time from the start. Ed's contributions to FISD have been many, not only in serving as my back up but also in pushing his own projects and attending cons as FISD's representative. My hat's off to you Ed and the rest of the command staff (who I know have taken leadership positions elsewhere in the Legion). Let me buy you the first round
  18. Woo-hoo!! Great to see you here Dish - check out the det only area. Can't wait to see your Elite progress next
  19. Much improved
  20. Hopefully some day Scot will jump on these threads. He's been making these kits for a long time and I'm sure would want to address any feedback directly, as it would help him improve his product. He's a nice guy to boot.
  21. All set guys - lets see some updated pix! Javier - congrats on your TK!
  22. I can't take any credit - I'm just reposting for the member on MEPD.
  23. And when you buy RT, feel free to tell him that he still has lots of fans on FISD.
