  1. The hardest part will be getting the blaster right. I'm going after this standard myself and it's the biggest barrier. Otherwise it's just a different helmet, belt/holster, and hand plates.
  2. I'm pretty sure both are, but would have to re-watch the movie to be sure. Someone probably can answer this faster than I - I'm equally curious to find out.
  3. Be friendly. And relax.
  4. The Emperor has been expecting you for some time...Lord Vader himself authorized access.
  5. No, that really should be Legion wide. Remember that all TE/TE2 armor is painted as well, so I'm not sure how painting an ABS kit would be any different.
  6. Alas, the older FX thighs were more normal. If you can't find a pair of them (very rare these days) then trim, trim, trim is your only option for now. I'd actually recommend when you have some spare greenbacks to order a set of thighs from RT. They should match your armor perfectly and don't have the barrel look that the current FX thighs do. The AP helmet should fit you fine. Remember that unless you have a very small head everyone puts them on sideways to get them on. I actually have to squeeze mine a little bit too. Terrell's recommendation of trimming the bottom works the majority of the time.
  7. What does everyone have? Speak up guys - gain your vox
  8. A valid point, but in the short term I'd be happy if the Legion's TK's got at least standardized in quality before the bar was raised. It's been over a year since we submitted our CRL, and it hasn't even been posted in the GML area in all this time.
  9. Well, it's OK to screw up your first set. I did mine which is why I sent sandy right away. I've also replaced parts I've screwed up on. So, you're not alone, nor the first, nor the last.
  10. JOIC, why is that Bernard?
  11. About frakking time!! Congrats on finally getting your TKID Now, where's your Elite application thread?
  12. Status updated Mario. Tell your GWL to get some pix up though - he's slacking!
  13. I just got my AP back with the Bommar and it rocks. For those that say "well, I need an FX because blah blah blah", let me tell you I have a large nose and yet I can easily put my bucket on. 100% self contained with vox and fans.
  14. Have to agree there. The forearms will need to be reshaped my friend - that's certainly not an acceptable profile. There are other folks on this board who are your height or smaller that make them work. Also, keep in mind that you'll never get perfect movement no matter what. The suits are designed to look good, not be completely free of pinching. Have you talked to anyone in your local garrison yet? They really should be helping you with this.
  15. It's a piece of dross - send it to me for proper disposal ;-) Flawless man - great job
  16. Well if you're a fool you're in good company. I don't think there's anyone in this hobby who hasn't done something similar at least once, if not more.
  17. Scott - that armor is super tight. You are hereby instructed to review and apply for Elite status ASAP.
  18. And I ain't buying resin.
  19. Roger that. If they don't like it it's their issue, not mine.
  20. No, but I'm not sure why they couldn't. Seems easy enough...?
  21. Keep you're long hair. When I was physically able to have long hair the military wouldn't let me. Since getting out I'm folicaly challenged. There certainly are other long hair troopers (men and women) so it can be done. Sorry to hear you live in a police state school system. You'd think with how the US stacks up educationally against the rest of the world reading and writing would take precedence over hair length.
  22. Let's see some more pix Ole! You're GWL's slacking and the pix aren't posted yet
  23. Removed chatter threads. Please only post if there is a correction to the list.
  24. The three candidates are: TK 1787 - Terrell Reber (SuperTrooper) TK 8151 - James Peternel (Kiyote) TK 9135 - Nathan Bantz (Runnriottt) Nominations are now closed. Discussion is open in the detachment members only area.
  25. I was an 11B when I enlisted and would have retired last year had I done my 20. You're right - it's all good. Everyone's situation is different - to me whether you served three years or 30 it's all the same
