  1. It's about the same length as DLT I think. The E-11 end cap section is exactly where the standard E-11 end cap is with the Stock effectively attached to the end. Another comparison, is that the total length of the rear section is actually about 2cm shorter than a standard Sterling folding stock extended. Thanks Aaron. Um no. We basically have no rifle/hunting/gun activity here at all...
  2. Much better. Most (and definitely me) are too lazy to open links LOL. Nice work in getting it back together. I put a M38A2 (well, M77C) on my build too. Came up great. Nice cheap alternative to a real M38
  3. Hey Jared, can you get your pics in the thread so we can all see them by using photo bucket or something http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/tutorials/article/48-posting-images-in-threads-2015/
  4. Thanks Sam. A bit more progress. Finally got my rear stock from my mate with a 3D printer. I believe its one of TFH's files but not 100%sure. It's going to need a bit more filling and sanding before the final coat goes on, but I hear that's common with 3D printing. With the stock being solid, I wanted to hollow it out so it could slide over the tube for extra strength. Out comes the spade bit. Only had a 35mm, so did the other 3mm with the sanding drum on the dremel. It appears the cap was designed around 40mm pipe, so I had to epoxy some 1mm styrene onto the inside of the cap so it sat a bit firmer against my 38mm tube. And this is how it will all sit Now I've got that main piece done, other parts and updates should come a lot quicker... (Although I do need to get my Mouse Droid and R6 dome ready for a troop in 3 weeks, so I reserve the right to change my mind )
  5. Or if you're after one for a different reason, I just downloaded the file and go a mate to 3d print the stock only
  6. -------------- This is the one I bought. Worked a treat (pics to come)
  7. 1. Doopy Resin 2. Doopy resin with clear class and paper numbers underneath 3. Doopy resin with clear class and paper numbers underneath and pushable button 4. Doopy resin with aftermarket 'real' counter reels and button from a Chinese ebay counter 5. Doopy resin with Bluesnaggletooth rear half counter 6. Full 'fake' counter from Bluesnaggletooth 7. Real Hengstler branded counter I would expect that that order would be the best in terms of accuracy AND price that you'd expect to pay.
  8. 94kg is nothing! Check out some of the EIB and Centurion builds - everyone lists their weight and height. There's plenty of larger troopers achieving the higher awards, and they all look great. The main issue larger guys have is shimming the sides so the Ab and Kidney meet, sometimes the back of the thighs, but that is just a little more plastic and glue to deal with. No major problem. Check out MTK. Not sure what his pricing is these days. But yes, price could be your issue, not size.
  9. Doopy Doos resin kit Doopy Doos pipe kit (you're own PVC pipe with resin attachments) Phoenix Props (Resin on aluminium, or supply your own PVC pipe)
  10. Looks great Chris! I wonder how far the handle support would need to come up to stop the blaster twisting in the stand? With my perspex supports, the weight of the blaster (primarily the hengstler and the magazine) causes it to tilt ever so slightly to the left. I have about 1mm clearance all round I guess in my supports.
  11. Oops, must have been on Astromech.net at the time too. Link fixed
  12. Were they banned simply for selling re-casted stuff or other reasons? How did you get your money back?
  13. I had no idea either. Here in Australia the blue stuff is the expensive painters stuff. Standard cream coloured tape worked fine for me. It's all I ever use for any of my builds (unless using it to mask paint, then it's rubbish). However, if cost isn't a worry for you go for it.
  14. All of those look fantastic Chris! I'm wondering whether it's worth considering a different option with the rear stand. Could you make it, literally like on 1cm tall or something, and have it supporting underneath the grip. Then you would have only one highly visible stand at the front, bring more emphasis on the actual blaster. Just an idea, after I saw that other guys 3d printed stand below (I possible wouldn't go up near the selector switch like this one, but something along those lines. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/34198-just-purchased-this-do-it-yourself-3-d-printed-kit-thoughts/ Looks like you have the computer systems to play around with options and images to see how it might look before printing
  15. Sorry. Didn't keep reading. I thought you meant the one in the end of the grip. Don't listen to me
  16. Spose I should have checked that thread first I was super happy with my resin set from you. Will be keen to see the hybrid versions when they become available.
  17. They are worthy. We are NOT worthy... Any chance of the resin ones making a comeback Andy, for us less cashed up folk?
  18. Pretty sure they are standard 6mm thread. Will have to check when I get home. I saw you posted in T-Jay's sales thread, so he may get back to you sooner...
  19. Why would you possibly want to go anywhere else: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/32111-fisd-e-11-blaster-reference/
  20. I don't believe it does. Plenty of templates available here on FISD, depending on what size pipe you end up with
  21. Glad you could get something out my build Alan. That's half the reason we do this - to share and help others. Just remember, the great thing with these kits, that anything can be tried and almost any mistakes can be fix with a bit of glue or filler. Just have a go and have fun! LOL. famous/infamous. Legendary/inlegendary? My legendary status is quickly diminishing with all these superb build happening these days.
  22. I saw that in a RPF thread. Looks fantastic. Would love to hear and see a build/review.
