  1. Any idea specifically who that is? I have a need for some custom T-tracks. Not sure if my Plan A is coming through or not....
  2. Great stuff Aaron! I think it was this distinct difference in profiles that Tino may be talking about. First thing that jumped out at me too. Or is it just the colouring/shadows making it appear different?
  3. Haha, we're all unique in our own special ways
  4. Not being rude at all, I appreciate all opinions, but nah, looks to puny to me. Big and chunky is the way I'll go. Now, I could go and get fancy and stick a second scope on it, but then again, it is meant to be just a larger E-11. Cheers
  5. What style do you think? Got a pic? I do have a long skinny 15-20mm one used for the SE-14R but i think it would look to small with everything else 'oversized'.
  6. The scope! eBay is great isn't it? $15 or so from Hong Kong for this big whiz bang scope. Looks nice through the optics too. Sorry Tino. No extra large Counter here. Just a regular one. And a regular scope rail too, so won't go into too much detail there. I did, however, upsize to 3mm aluminium instead of 1.6mm. A couple of wide shots
  7. Thanks Tino. My second hand naturally sits on the tactical grip, so no issues there.
  8. Haha, yeah your post (39) over page did the same thing. I wouldn't say I have all angles covered, but most of the base ones Although I am nearly done, but my source for the T-tracks is veeeerrrryyyy slow, so not sure when he'll get them to me. Might need to give him another friendly nudge
  9. Thanks Mark Brian, Brian, Brian..... You would question such a thing of me? Shame on you. Yes, an inner barrel has been made and will be making an appearance soon. I'm only having 5 t-tracks so the bottom 3 will be clear allowing plenty of room to see through.
  10. Good call Tino! I moved the bipod back closer to the grip and it looks a whole lot better in my opinion. That's for the constructive feedback. [/ URL] Hmm, images a bit blurry. Sorry about that
  11. Hahaha! Love the counter Tino! I'll have a think about that. Unfortunately Michael, the muzzle is already glued, as are the grip and other parts, so there's no way it's being shortened at all. Admittedly it does look a bit long and skinny at the moment. Hopefully the addition of T-Tracks and the scope/rail combo will alleviate that a bit. Bipod is glued and screwed, but could be changed possibly. I'll check out a few more reference pics. Thanks for the tip
  12. Awesome. Thanks for your input. Do you think that based on certain aspects look out of scale with each other, or just a general opinion? I was sort of going for a DLT19 size with E-11 look. Just checked the measurements - A DLT is supposedly 48 inches. My E-11S is 44.5, so quite a bit smaller. Cheers
  13. After deciding to shorten the folding stock, I needed to bulk up the front end, so in keeping with the DLT style (also that of the image in post # 14) I decided on a Bipod for the front. No way I could make one, so good old eBay came through with an el cheapo aluminium/steel bipod. Still not 100% on the round rubber feet, so might try to modify them once the blaster is completed. Not sure if I can though with destroying it. You can see in the first pic the legs are closed, and in the installed pics, legs are extended. Didn't realise I must have extended them before taking photos. Thanks for any comments or suggestions. Scope and scope rail up next....
  14. Shiny scope! How'd you do that? Any bigger or more detailed pics/info?
  15. Thread mover, advice giver and Detachment Leader. This man can do it all!
  16. I use 2 part epoxy for my builds, but I hear regular CA glue (super glue) works well Did you get the 'suitcase' ones? He publicly said they're not accurate to real cylinders, but I would assume they should be as per the pics. What was inaccurate about them?
  17. Hey man. Always keen to see new builds, but (1) can't open your links. Make sure you post in photo bucket or similar so the pics show within your post. And (2), probably best to post it in the E-11 section, not F-11D. I know, it's only one letter, but it makes a difference
  18. Depends what your goal is. Base approval - doesn't matter as long as the blaster is representative of a Sterling based E-11. Some people like the clean look with no counter EIB and Centurion you need to follow the CRL. ANH needs the counter. (ESB doesn't)
  19. Thanks Brian. As most of you would have guessed, considering it's a non-canon blaster I'm forgoing some of the finer details. We've got Tino's amazing thread for that . Just trying to make a believable star wars style long weapon Oh, here's a comparison to what I was trying to copy, to what I actually did. Side on, it's close. Front on it's not, as it had to be very wide to get around the existing mechanism.
  20. Thanks Tino! Thought I'd better show my Hengstler conversion since the finished product was about to show on my next step. Standard Doopy counter, started sanding off the 'bump' window Good ol' eBay counter for $6-! Pulled apart to see what I need to use Nice! The window already has the bump! I did have to sand the number wheels down a bit to compress them together more. They were a little wide to start with. Cavity to the side is for the spring loaded reset button to sit into Button out of styrene sheet and another ballpoint pen bites the dust Cut the standard clip off (had lost some detail..) and replaced with a unit from Bluesnaggletooth. Also slightly moved the top screw location to a more accurate location (you can see the putty and new hole on top) I'll put the two brass screws (from T-Jay) in later after the final coat of paint And unfortunately I didn't take a photo with the window visible before I painted, and now that I have a nice seal I don;t want to remove it until I'm done painting. Final reveal to occur later Just realised that wasn't the best photo anyway...
  21. Ok, this was the major drama and decision I had to make with this build - what to do with the folding stock? I was originally going to ditch it completely, but after discussions over in posts 13-15, I got thinking..... And this is what I came up with. A bipod up front (DLT19 style) and a tactical foldable grip where the standard length folding stock ended. Acquire folding grip [/uR L] And yes, the handle is oversized compared to a Sterling stock. Unfortunately it had to be to fit over the original grip mechanism, but I figured the whole blaster is 'oversized' so a few individual items can be too. Comments, suggestions welcome. It hasn't been glued down yet just in case someone offers up a better idea, but I think it works quite well for now.
  22. I've even cracked out the 5" angle grinder for some cuts. But I do have a small tamiya hobby saw for the fine stuff.
  23. Ahh, were you saying the blaster was big, or the stock was big, or the whole thing combined was big?
