  1. TM , the man, the myth, the legend. He was extremely nice and helpful with my build as well. It was a pleasure doing business with Paul .
  2. Thank you , I just wanted to be sure. Just sand area and clean first I would imagine.
  3. Was wondering what works best to adhere elastic strapping directly to the armour? Would E-6000 work? I think I have seen KW use CA glue. Troopermaster uses steel max 1985 I believe, but that is not so easy to come by in my area. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  4. Cool, glad you guys figured it out. That kit is going to be sweet. The gussets I totally meant chest and back, the clones have a set for the cod and butt as well as the chest and back. Keep up the good work.
  5. Yes I believe the trapezoid pieces are the gussets that connect the butt and cod section, and the shin pieces, if they are like the clones, they go in like a spoon after you slip the shins on.
  6. AP is very attractive armor. fantastic work on the build. Zeppelin Rocks...
  7. Nice. Good find Mathias...
  8. Is this regular metal screen, or a synthetic fabric type mesh? Edit* Ok, I see that you stated metal. Fantastic idea.
  9. Yes, looks really cool. What type lighting did you use?
  10. Yes , What they said.... Man, them are some huge return edges , eh? lol...
  11. Started a bit of my concept with the Bucket on the JR. got him here , Chillin with the big boys. My TM build, waiting to build the nerve to paint, and my RS build, waiting on a proper faceplate for construction. The first one was distorted of the bottoms of the cheek tubes.
  12. You can do it. It is alot of work, you just gotta make that first cut, then it's all down hill from there...
  13. Progress Sanded and painted armor with a base coat of white satin. This armor is really starting to look good. Its a shame i gotta butcher this thing...
  14. So, the adhesive thing, i found Goo Gone did not work very well. If Jedi Robe did anything right, it was the glue on that velcro... Anyway, the goo gone didn't work, Rubbing alcohol, even 91% alcohol didn't work. Lighter fluid, kinda... So i broke out the steel wool soaked it with lighter fluid, scrubbed, and hit it with Goo Gone, and Voila... it started to break down fairly easily... Strange but it worked...Steel wool, lighter fluid and Goo Gone, alternating applications.

  16. Thanks Paul, and Tood, this lid I believe would be .80 That makes me think its really thin. As people keep telling me, it's not armour, it's a costume. I still like things well built and sturdy. This would be purely for display and most likely would not be used for trooping. Just for fun, and to check out the product.
  17. Ok got a bit more completed and a clearer plan on how i will assemble this monster. I really need a resin bolt, so anyone that knows where i can get one, please advise. Gussets are working well, and the inner barrel will all help hold this tube in place, here are a couple photos as well as the back side of the mag well... The shovel is a important instrument in this build, as it fits nicely between the gussets and will help hold them in place tightly against the tube while the adhesive cures.
  18. Got the arm pieces butt joined and cover strips installed. Trimmed the leg pieces and started on cover strips. Slowly but surly...
  19. Thanks fellas... I was concerned that It may be brittle, and of course the painting is a downside. I built a clone , shock trooper to be exact, and had to paint the entire armor. You can do some cool things with paint, if you were to do a TD or something. How about a Shadow trooper? Would black do ok ?
