  1. Figured i would post a couple pictures of the kit in action, after all , this will be the last time we see it like this.... I must say, I was a bit fond of this suit, as it was my first set of armor. i did enjoy it being on display in my office, and the couple times i wore it. I surly have seen worse, but Not by much...lolz RIP my JR...
  2. Mine does that too , almost once or twice a day...
  3. No, I think you can buy bubble lenses, I actually have a pair just in case. They are pretty cheap and you can find them in various places , I think Trooperbay also has them. Good luck.
  4. I Know, its amazing how much I've learned in the few months I've been doing this. Dont you worry, I'm Gonna Have it looking Rank...
  5. Belt and holster. Chest and Back with Straps.
  6. So I've been mentioning I was wanting to turn my JR kit into a DT. Well, I'm one step closer, and have pulled the kit apart. I figured i would layout the kit since it seems alot of people have never seen a JR kit, and you guys could see what this kit is , flaws and all... So Here is the kit in pieces now, about to be buried... Ab And Cod plate. Inside of Ab/Cod shows Velcro strapping system, and cheesy buttons. Inside of back and butt piece, showing Velcro strapping. Forearms showing Velcro strapping. Bicep and Shoulder assembly. with thermal detonator. Glove detail, with crappy drop boxes. will fill these in.
  7. Amazing what a couple washers will do.Might go with smaller washers. Really beefed this thing up. I have been looking for that liner for the rest of the inside, but not sure if i want to add that much weight , and maybe will try just painting the inside. Mic-Tips Nice and sturdy.
  8. Looks like I need to swap out my scope piece. I have the M38 and need the M19... Bummer
  9. How do you like the CA glue? I used it on my Shock Trooper with the accelerant , and it was nice, fast too. I just notice everyone using E6000 on the TK's.... What is the real difference ? Does the E6000 make it easier to take apart if needed? I always wondered why most people use E6000 over the CA glue on FISD. Most troopers on the Clone Detachment use CA glue with zip kicker. Must be a matter of preference . I think the E6000 makes it easy to make adjustments during assembly. The CA glue, you better have it straight because that stuff goes off fast. Nice armor, good luck with your build.
  10. Posted 24 January 2014 - 12:10 AM I might be taking the necessary steps to get this Fem armor and helmet done. At this time I am thinking about making the size range some where around 5'1" - 5'8". This will be a Vac-formed ABS kit. Considering the way it will need to assemble it will need to be painted due to the seamless look on some of the parts, similar to clones. Ladies if you are interested in this please let me know and also let me know how tall you are and your waist size. If you want to send your measurements to me in a PM that is fine. The sooner I can get this info the sooner I can start if there is enough interest. I have also posted an interest thread on the main boards... http://www.501st.com...p=979457#979457 Thanks Kevin W. Found this on the Jes Gistang research tread. Good luck. Jason-
  11. Wow, cool, I will get a few more photos of the other side of mag well, . You guys are making me even more excited than I already was...
  12. Thank you sir. Looks like this will be fun.
  13. Vern, Do you have any suggestions for adhesive?
  14. Thinking of possibly JB Weld for adhering the metal to plastic components. Anyone else have any other suggestions?
  15. Vern, I knew i could draw you out. I think i need the scope rail too, but i can fab that up. A few other components too, huh? Spring, and greeblies? Thanks for checking me out Vern, this is the kit i was referring too in the PM.
  16. So, I Was thinking of attempting this build with some parts i found at my local Garrison, year end clean out. Actual Demilled Sterling Components, i thought would help add some weight and realism to the build. Not sure if this is even possible, but i would like to give it a shot. figured instead of jumping in with both feet first, i would put it out here for the experts to see if I've even a chance of making this a reality. Thank you in advance for feedback, comments, and guidance ...

  18. Thanks guys... Yes I do plan on weathering it more accurately , but I will keep that portion of the thread on MEPD. As far as reinforcement , I have a few ideas , and will post them here on this thread. RS has been understanding of the matter, even offering a replacement helmet. So, I am still happy with my kit, and will address the minor adjustments as needed. Does anyone have any cool tricks for lining the inside, say rhino liner, or something similar?Remove lens, Mask off the eyes and teeth, possibly add washers?
  19. Looks sharp Eric. Do the drop boxes need to be closer to the ends of the belt. Not sure if its EIB or Centurion, but I hear troopers talk about tat a lot. Looking fresh though....
  20. Juan, thank you very much for the help. I will see you over at MEPD. Terry, I'm sure I'll be needing some help. Thank you .
