  1. Would suggest to remove the return edges on the forearms. Can your shins be lowered a bit? (you have no visible gap between upper and lower leg) Can upper and lower legs get trimmed to be more tight? (as Bone suggested) Looks like there is a lot of material left under the cover stripes...

    Workable?

Shows us, show us! Let's all see what you do with it
  3. Hey Steve, where did you find this? Can we be sure this is really old? Or has it possibly been made to look old? A fantastic picture anyway!
  4. Not saying green stuff is the best solution (especially as I haven't used anything else so far) but I had absolutely no problems with it. Even for very tiny details (like on my power cylinders where I had a gap between the main cylinder and an end cap) it worked fine. Of course this also depends on the builder's preferences...
  5. New Completion Sets V 1.9 are now available

  6. Hey Brian, nice to see some progress from you again. Outstanding work on the end cap lock. Didn't expect you to go THAT far into detail and it now looks like the real part. Wow! Regarding the knurling pattern: you've heated the tool and pressed it onto the plastic. To get a deeper imprint I would suggest doing it the other way: warming the plastic part (or both). However, incredible work on that part and thanks again for your permission to use one of your photos in my completion sets sales thread. Thought an ideal way for these kits would be a combination of the T-shaped resin part with an aluminum channel. Why building another front sight? You have the best I've seen!
  7. And the guy didn't even notice that. Just imagine him sitting at home, checking his video record and seeing this...
  8. Told you it will look cool Very good work done. Really liking the inside view on the last picture!
  9. New Completion Sets (V 1.9) will be introduced on Sunday, 15th of March!

  10. New Completion Sets (V 1.9) will be introduced on Sunday!

  11. 8 months old but I still enjoy watching this because it seems so real...
  12. Current reviews do look quite positive so far... I am surprised
  13. Good luck on this one, Tim. I keep fingers crossed for you...
  14. Yes, that would be nice to have. But this is such a short sequence, I doubt we would see more than just blurry frames Some of the familiar parts have simply been painted white, but there are also additional white parts, which we haven't yet seen clearly. And that chromed scope is something I still need to get used to... (no chrome on the whole armor as far as we know)
  15. So the fun beginns. Enjoy your journey
  16. And it had already been discussed in earlier threads, that there is only minimal (to no) feedback from DoodyDoo's. Just imagine how life could be if they would use a FISD account here to update us...
  17. Thanks for the detail pictures! Those lenses are looking really massive. If I can manage to find something like that some day, it will be a nice addition to the Completion Sets...
  18. Yepp, patience is required in this hobby. 4-6 weeks for a Doopy-Doo's is normal...
  19. Hey Scott, what a nice find! Looking forward for the pictures in your build thread. Those lenses do look quite thick on that 2nd and 3rd photo. Is this glass or plastic?
  20. Please correct me if I am wrong (very interested in the yellowing effect) but you are talking about removing yellowing by using a polish?! Thought it depends on the composition of the used plastic. Some types of plastic will stay white, others will start yellowing over the years. But can you really remove that with just a polish? Or is it required in advance to prevent that? Please explain more details, as a polish is just on the surface. Thanks
  21. Looks very interesting, Chris. If possible, could you add some more detailed shots? You made quite a big jump from the picture with all parts spread on the table to your current progress Very curious on how this build will evolve...

    Workable?

Just wondered if you would still be able to get your head into the bucket after installing all this? If so, you could combine it with Evilboy's Dual Fan System by replacing these two components.
  23. Yepp, much better now.
  24. Scott, the position of the counter to the scope looks very good, so I would suggest to move both of them a bit towards the rear sight. In my case the counter window ends where the folding stock hinge ends. Hope this helps...
  25. Hey Scott, looking good so far! Please check some reference pictures regarding the position of the counter and the magazine housing. Seems like these two are a bit close to each other. On your nice power cylinders I would not use that cloth wire, as it seems to be far to big. Just my two cents...
