  1. wow.. thats way cool Ian.. !
  2. Hi Brian, I'm building up pretty much the same parts as you.. Just need to decide on a aluminum of plastic pipe, T--tracks and where to use my real scope.. Might go for one of Brian's casts.. P.S. Robs stuff is amazing..
  3. Darthcue, cool so did you use the PVC pipe he has or have you used another? Also how did the gluing go generally, especially gluing of the grip/trigger assembly?
  4. Nice!! Darthcue which bits do you have on it?
  5. Hey everyone, just got my folding stock, bolt and hovi tips.. You can check them out here https://imgur.com/a/nr9fT P.S. got some muzzle screws for the barrel I got of Aaron, they fit well..
  6. Just managed to get the folding stock and bolt And here is a link to a couple of close ups.. http://imgur.com/a/JrE55 Apologies the pictures could be a little better.. Took them in bad light.. I will update them when I get the stock.. Cheers Bryn
  7. Yea, his stuff is great.. I'm slowly building up my kit, have a folding stock and bolt and a few other bits on order - and that will probably be all I need. I have Aaron's barrel, spring cup and muzzle. The rest of the bits are from Rob...... Rob put one (stock) up for me yesterday but I missed it, by the time I got to eBay it was gone.. oh well . Cheers P.S. I promise to get some picks this weekend and post!
  8. Wow, just fantastic work putting that Sterling back together without welding Jon.. A great looking blaster for sure!
  9. Also try http://www.stormtrooperblaster.com/ - The parts are great, I have a few! He also has a 38.1 PVC pipe for sale..
  10. Yea I agree with Tino, it tool me 'for ever' and mine was a doopy kit! Good stuff!
  11. Thanks Mate, yes it was a lengthy build for sure - lots of um-ing and are-ing Cheers Tino, thanks again for your help.. I am quite happy the way it came out!
  12. Final photos Okay its seems like this build has been going on for ever, but I think now it is finally at an end. I want to thank everyone for their comments and help along the way, with special mention to Tino (T-Jay), Arron (usaeatt2), Brian (Bulldog44), Chris (themaninthesuitcase), Dennis (Tr00per), Chris (Thrawn's guard). All of you guys have great build thread which really helped me out in a big way. So what would I do differently: I would do the scope rail fitting before painting - I bought one pre- made from toshie traders. I do like it, but I had to cut it up a bit and fill some holes to get it the way I wanted. The scope and hengsler were mounted too far forward and the front was too high. Will definitely do the crinkle paint on the next one – hopefully a pipe build Probably wouldn’t use a metallic paint on the undercoats, they seem to come off quite easily when weathering. I will probably do a bit more weathering as time goes by, adding rust etc. So anyway here are a few shots and more at this gallery. http://imgur.com/gallery/eDin7 Anyway thanks everyone for reading and now onto my ATA build..
  13. I've been keeping an eye on Robert's FB page, he has just finished a cast of the long part of the folding stock. Firts looks are pretty good! Have a look here.. https://www.facebook.com/StormtrooperBlaster/?fref=ts
  14. wow, def the next trooper to have. the talent in the 501st is truly amazing..
  15. Thanks kwakermad! re the grip, yes it's just the light, the grip is painted gloss and there's no weathering on that bit.. I still haven't mastered taking photos with my phone.. thanks again [emoji2] Sent from my SM-T705Y using Tapatalk
  16. Yea Chris, I think these come up better in the black too.. I've also bought some real resistors for these.. And I might change my approach to sanding etc.. Give them a sanding before the first coat.. Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk
  17. Okay here we go.. Link to album for higher res pics https://imgur.com/a/P8RUy
  18. Hi Chris, I got one of each printed in black, will take a picture tomorrow and post it here.. Cheers Bryn
  19. The Penultimate Update (I hope) … Hello all, well it has definitely been a while since I have posted an update on my progress, partly because I have been busy at work/ home and also because I wasn’t too sure how wanted the blaster to look. Initially I was planning to do the whole crinkle paint/ chipped look, but it is the middle of winter here in Sydney and we have had some cold days. Anyway I abandoned the crinkle paint as you really need warm weather for it to look the best and I needed to finish the blaster as my ATA amour was about to arrive. So I settled on a weathered/polished satin black look. The approach was the same for all parts, first good coat of primer, then metallic silver, a few spots painted with humbrol 27004 metallic, then a few coats of satin black. To finish it off, I took to the parts with 600/800 sandpaper and a final buffing with my buffing block. Anyway here are some pics… So there you have it an almost finished E-11, I just need to work on the scope rail and bolt the Hengstler and Scope on and a few little bits a pieces and I will be done… So I’m think that my blaster is a well-used death star issue blaster. Glamour shots still to come! Cheers Bryn P.S. if you would like to see more detail, my gallery for this build is here.. beware i uploaded loads of pictures.. http://imgur.com/a/UQ9VB/layout/grid
