  1. Did you get the 2mm or the 1.5mm version?
  2. Not 501st approved and a crazy looking helmet with a rivet in the back. It's 2.5mm ABS which means you could probably beat the living hell out of it and it wouldn't break. It looks like a mix of a FX recast and a rubies or something. I'm not really 100% on all the makes, but it looks kind of cheesy to me. If you want a halloween costume on the cheap, this wouldn't be a bad buy, but if you're looking to join the 501st and get into costuming an replicating the look of the movies, this is not for you.
  3. Hows the progress? Been a few days now, and you're sooo close!
  4. S-Trim is a Centurion level requirement.
  5. I'm pretty sure I will sell this suit to make space for my RT-Mod which is due to be pulled in the next few weeks. Pretty much everything you see in the photos, no boots, no gloves, no undersuit, no neckseal. Everything else will be included. Oh, the trim for the helmet is included as well.. I just forgot to put it on the these photos.... doh Don't worry that the suit looks a bit small, it's a full sized suit, I'm just an extra full length person. Lots of room to trim and shim as required to fit someone else.
  6. Skipped a lot of stuff, and straight to the completed suit. The FX bucket I did finish and hand paint, sits in my office, my kid loves to goof around with it. I ended up having to replace the belt, and the helmet. I went with ATA and hand painted the helmet. So FX does fit someone who is 6'6", some of the gaps are on the edge, but overall I think it looks pretty good. My only problem is the size of calves, they just aren't big enough, shims required!
  7. I think the paint is to bright, the pictures I've seen the armor is much more gunmetal vs silver. Did you want to make is brighter for a particular reason?
  8. Followed! I'm gearing up to buy Mynocks #4 or #5 mask, so will be following you to see how it goes and take some queues from a vet like you. I like the republic jedi armor from starwarssurplus, but I think I would get about half the pieces as some of them don't really match the photos I've seen. I'm sure that variation is ok though, since the Sith Acolytes are all unique, there is no way to pigeon hole the armor as exactly this and exactly that, unless you want to copy the photo precisely. Masks are different and unique, I imagine the armor will be as well.
  9. I haven't' measured the gap but it isn't more then 15-20cm. I think my best bet is to do the over/under to get a seal. Thanks to everyone for chipping in and for the photographic evidence to support the fix.
  10. Well, the affordable part we shall see! I'm sure paul will make it affordable though. Great job on all of the pieces, looks like you are pretty close to having a suit for sale!
  11. So I'm looking at an issue for my calves, they won't close. I see that ideally they aren't sealed in the back anyways but rather connected via a hook and elastic like in the Tantive raid. Can I be approved with calves that don't seal in the back? What about EIB? Should I shim to close them for approvals?
  12. I sell Leather Holsters for your E-11, follow my signature link for details.
  13. If you have pin holes you should fill them with something then let it dry and get a new primer again. The blob should be removed.as well.
  14. But, great progress! Will you be making a mold without a chin, and make the chin as a separate item, or going to add it in later?
  15. Hey, there is a fly on your form! Get him before he lays some eggs and you have a Halloween 3 mask on your hands busting with eggs.
  16. It's a communicator/grappling hook. You have an option of using this instead of the TD.
  17. Buy the accessories for building to start slowly. Look at a few of the more popular build threads, there you will find lists of things you should buy ahead of time. Plus there are tons of other items you can slowly buy that you will need to finish the suit. There is nothing worse then finally getting the money and waiting to get the suit made, then you get it, but you've got none of the items required to actually put it together. Now you have to wait, or impulse buy everything. Some of the items that can be bought separately that are required for tue suit, like the holster, boots, undersuit, gloves, ab buttons and the neck seal
  18. E6000 will come off clean if it was leaked, just use your fingernails and peel it off.
  19. Nice job! Looking forward to see this come to fruition!
  20. Julian, You have the same suit as my first suit. You will find your belt is farked, they cut it to short on the edges so the side buttons aren't actually there. I ended up buying an ATA belt to replace it. Also replaced the helmet with an ATA and built that myself and painted it up. You will also need some Ab buttons for the suit. Because the cod piece is cut, and cut short, you will need to nearly butt the piece against the Ab and strap it in there, otherwise you will see the seam below the belt and may have trouble with approval if the connection seam is visible for the cod. One thing to keep in mind is don't cut anything shorter or trim edges! This suit is already cut pretty tightly to the lines. I had to add shims to the Ab/kidney for connection because with a 34 inch waist (pretty average waist) it was still cut to short on the sides to make them come close together. When making the rounded pieces, arms, thighs, calfs and so on you can trim to fit, but the flat pieces don't trim them down until you have the suit on and can test their true fit with the other pieces around it. The armor fits differently when it's strapped together vs just a single piece sitting on your body. Oh, one last thing, the calves are identical, left and right, while this is nice, so the armor looks symmetrical, the clamshell connection for the right calve in the back will need to be reversed so that the seam faces inwards and not outwards. You will see what I mean when you pick them up and start putting them together. All of the seams, thighs and calves should face to the inside, so that on the outside, all they see are smooth edges. If you run into any questions, hit me up, I feel a connection since we have the same armor set, and I'm here to help if you need.
  21. While you search for the armor maker you want, check the following link http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=20869 for a listing of the sellers here on the FISD who can help you with all of the accessories you will need to complete your suit. Gl and keep at it, it's a journey, and it pays off once you're done, because you can say 'I made that"
  22. Jahn Danter has a good set apparently that you can see really well in, but he is MIA. From tAlking to Rob (RT-Mod) is should he green bubble lenses sorted soon, so will add them as a part of my helmet, and if they are bad viewing, I will contact TM again about getting a set made, and maybe John D will come back one of these days.
  23. Hi Julian, Check this link: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=20869 It is a list of all current on-going runs for items. You will find 2 sellers there who have leather holsters for a very reasonable price, and one that does imitation holsters also for a reasonable price. Just look through the links there, find one thats in your price range and contact the seller via PM on the forums to setup the order of the item.
  24. I was looking through the centurions and am I right in noting that I only saw 2 Hero centurions?
  25. Karin, that was my worry, in the photos I"ve seen they were as you describe, long like a T-Shirt with no arms or armpits, kind of hillbilly. So I wasn't sure if being very long like that was a requirement. With Tom's confirmation, I am happy that I"m all good, at least with this piece.
