  1. I don't think it would matter what material it is out of, as long as it looks right, fits well and holds up the right standard of accuracy.
  2. There are FO troopers that are TK as well as stated in the movie. I"m sure there is a distinction, but haven't heard it yet.
  3. I'm guessing the price will remain the same once they go to mainstream release. Maybe they move to a vacuformed ABS that doesn't need to be painted, but that won't work too well since some seams need to be filled, so it needs to be painted anyways.
  4. I"m sure JJ will be back to you shortly. With the premier happening and last minute blaster prep he is working overtime. He hasn't even gotten back to me recently and we have some collaboration projects going on, I guarantee is is working his tail off to get things out.
  5. Yeah, they should make every single version and variation of trooper, each with some limited edition accessories but with the same base trooper. So that collectors MUST spend $200 a pop x 50 different troopers, basically just for an accessories pack.
  6. To keep the belt from sliding down under the weight of the blaster. ON the other topic... So the 501st now lets a company dictate the CRL? Thats basically whats happening. ANOVOS says "No, we're doing it this way, get over it." So we make an exception and let it work. That sets a precedent and whats to stop it happening again.
  7. Not sure yet.. dday is my existing psn account, but never realy played online. I'll have BF and the PS4 towards the end of the month.
  8. What if the bolt was internally welded in place? Or there were bars inserted and covered that stopped the action?
  9. Congratulations man! You will get more and more sure as you troop. It will take 3-4 suit ups and you'll find it will go faster and with you sweating/freaking out less. You're looking good. Stay away from drama and the administrative side of the club and stick with trooping, you're stay in the 501st will be so much better
  10. He means the receiver tube. I have CNC machined tubes made for my blaster kits and will sell the tubes separate from time to time. What you will need to do is find someone with a torch who can separate the parts of the sterling from the cut up tube. All of the parts will come off, the flash guards, the nozzle, clips, mag housing and so on.
  11. Bolt and barrel is about it. You can get a nice replica bolt like mine to replace it with but still get the real look. The barrel you can replace it with an alu one, but an alu one is about 1lb lighter or so. The problem is you will want to weld you parts back onto the barrel, or use some crazy awesome metal welding epoxy. The alu tube won't hold up for welding but I"m sure would handle ultra epoxy.
  12. I generally troop with my son and I make sure he is a part of all the photos in his costume, so it doesn't take away anything, he is a part of the excitement.
  13. 1.5mm ABS. The 2mm ABS is a paint to cut and you'll get better details on 1.5mm, otherwise 2mm is decent if 1.5 isn't available. Don't go with styrene unless... no don't use styrene.
  14. You might send a message to Darth Voorhees here on the forums, I know he is in NY as well and does assemble services.
  15. Wow. I'm speechless at who ever told you that. I've never had the experience that it took away from someone elses experience, it just added to it.
  16. 1/2 to 3/4 a tube for a full armor build is enough.
  17. Nah, it's all the same stuff. I've gotten the China stuff before and it was the real deal.
  18. I bet you could wear a normal TK helmet. You just won't need padding, just the chinstrap to hold it steady.
  19. Looks decent. It's a good shape as the originals were not perfectly rounded at this end either, they were more oval like this.
