  1. You are right, the tube stripes will dip a bit, either towards the top of the bottom. They did vary a bit from helmet to helmet and it's best to go into the gallery here and check some of the stunt helmets to find one that you'd like to try and replicate. I found on the stunts I looked at, the dip was on the bottom but on the heros it was on the top. So I'm pretty sure it was very random from one to the next.
  2. I think there is no choice here. For someone looking to get a completion set they are already looking to make their build as accurate as possible without buying a real sterling and counter/scopes. As this is the case, there really is only one option. We pay for accuracy and we pay a good amount
  3. Nah man, I know emotions are probably running high right now but give it a few breaths and you'll get past this. It's crappy when you get copied and really digs a pit in your gut. You just have to fight it where you can and keep moving forward. You can't let the words of a few cloud out the words of the many who support you.
  4. Paul is still around. He is just full... I talked to him last week
  5. Well, the only good thing to take away from this is that if your stuff is good enough to recast, it is the best of the best!
  6. That is a pretty awesome idea!
  7. Yup as as well! We want to ensure we have an accurate helmet, so we need some more source material before we can release this into the wild. Our goal is to get it right the first time and not pre-release a helmet that doesn't match the specs and needs to be redone later.
  8. When I was recently building a Hero I did some looking in the gallery at the photographed hero helmets and the left side was 11 and the right side was 12... or the other way around. But since the CRL gives the allowance to have up to 16, as others have said, erase the extra stripe with some mild paint thinner/brush cleaner and you're done.
  9. Yep, thats the kit and build I do. I"m around so when you get to this point let me know
  10. Hi Sebastien, I do many kits and full builds, depending on how much you want to do on the kit yourself. I'm in the process of updating my molds and offering so am collecting a waiting/interest list right now for when I start to cast parts again in the end of April. Your Hasbro is good for basic approval based on the CRL. If you go to level 2 you need to convert it with your conversion kit and for level 3 it would need to be replaced by a more accurate base kit. Level 2 and 3 standards are purely a FISD thing and have nothing to do with your legion approval. Also keep in mind a blaster is fully optional and not required for basic 501st Legion approval.
  11. A grades are $250. B grades are $150 I believe.
  12. I read the article on cnet: http://www.cnet.com/news/animated-short-tells-star-wars-tale-from-the-empires-perspective/ Apparently it took him 4 years doing it over the weekends. Thats dedication.
  13. Wow... just wow. I'd watch this series, if it existed. Lets hope he gets picked up and makes this a reality!
  14. I was exactly the same! I had see it for a while now but only today saw that Sonnenschein posted it, and I thought WTF why is she posting about Australia... then I read it again. That's my Dyslexia kicking in. I read the first 3 letters and know what word it is already. Doesn't work all the time though.
  15. Or at least stalled for updates to us.
  16. He hasn't been online since April 2012... so I'm thinking it's stalled.
  17. It is a shame they chopped up the grip housing so much :/
  18. This is my fault and I didn't even notice it until you mentioned it. It is a problem with the pour. I checked a couple others I have and noticed it on some and not on others. Yours seems to be worse than the others I saw because I really had to look closely to even notice it. I've got no problem sending you a replacement. Without the crappy pour job.
  19. Nice find with those vintage screws!
  20. I am pretty sure you will not have any centurion problems with this. As long as the straws you use, or whatever conduit is black it will not be noticeable.
  21. You're so crazy! Blaster crazy. I think Roys tracks will cinch this build.
  22. Thanks for the sizing, I'll look into it. I will need to drill out a real bolt, and as this is hardened steel...I might need to have my machinist do it as I don't have really expensive hardened bits for my press.
  23. Nah, I can't get sick over innovations! When I recast the belt from my new parts kit I am pretty sure I will be cleaning up and increasing the center hole in the belt. It will lighten the kit some as well as just providing more space.
  24. Sean, thanks you for the honest review. As far as the bubbles on the grips diamond pattern, can you show some detailed photos, so I can better understand? Also we can talk about getting you a replacement shipped. Also, if you want, I will be having some steel pipes drilled in my next set of tubes in April as well as aluminum ones. We can talk about one for you as well.
