  1. Looking great trooper, I used a small square file to make the teeth a bit sharper on the corners. I did find taking out a little more around the eyes gives you a lot more vision. Be watchin your build, good luck
  2. Don't you hate waiting for paint to dry , The one I use takes about 6 hours until you can put any weight on it. The satin clear is a bit quicker and can usualy touch it after about 4 hours. Hope to get it together over the next few days, just found small vibration motor I am going to put it, just to give a more realistic feeling
  3. I have posted some images here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=21062
  4. Very nice thanks for sharing
  5. Not that it will help you now but there is an aditive that you can mix with paint to help with flexing, it is used mostly on plastic car bumpers, may help someone out in the future. Looking good, I don't think I have seen many armors painted, well done
  6. One blaster done, another blaster 3/4 done, smell of paint in the air, still waiting for armor to arrive, but still thinking what to build next. That would be a big YES
  7. Can't wait so going to put up with the smell of paint drying tonight lol Clear is on
  8. Rain today so looks like clear will have to wait until tomorrow
  9. Looks good, always amazes me that the Hero's seem to have the more menacing look lol
  10. Thanks guys, I am in talks with a place about getting the stock cut and just waiting on some pricing so there may be some in the near future. Satin black pretty common here in Aus and not that expensive. I have used it quite a lot over the years, after weathering the blaster I like to give it a couple of coats of satin clear and this prevents future weathing in places you don't want it to weather. Was pointed out by Mathias yesterday not to weather the grip as it would have been originaly plastic and wouldn't wear, but I will still just use the satin as the gloss would have been dulled by using the grip over time. Had to do some black touch up yesterday so maybe putting on the clear today or tomorrow depending on the weather. The clear tends to go cloudy if you paint when it is too cold.
  11. I noticed that too, the end cap, and sight stood out then there was the the square folding stock, quite alot looks similar
  12. Thanks for your feedback, I may as well get as close to the way it should be and hopefully it will be with all the help that I have been given, thanks again everyone, you know who you are For those not sure the difference between a pipe build and a hasbro build here is a pic I took earlier (btw my hasbro was heavily modded too)
  13. OK bits fixed, plastic grip all black and serrations only on back May make a metal piece later as the serrations would be crisper than what you get in plastic
  14. Cool thanks an easy fix too as i have made another one withought serrations and they are only held in with a screw, I'm on to it As for the T track I think I will just have to bite that one and pretend they were metal, would have been in real life so will stick with the weathering. Thanks again for the imput LOL well I have enjoyed building mine, maybe I may do a few builds after my armor build, well when I get it
  15. Thanks Mathias, didn't know about the grip, just about to fix that now
  16. Like it I LOOOOOOOOVE it lol. Well done, put me down as the first to order
  17. Oh and extended, I'm glad I did the extra metal work
  18. Ahhhh yes but you have the armor lol. Other side pic Going to try give it a coat of satin clear to lock in the weathering, hope this afternoon if if warms up. Then after it has dried I have to strip it down again, put in the electronics and internals then assemble again. L bracket and paint, shouldn't take you long
  19. With a bit of weathering
  20. First fit of painted pieces, now on to a bit of weathering then a coat of satin sealer, may have to wait a few days, back to cold wet weather this week
  21. Will be watching
  22. Perhaps flick an email to some of the command staff just to get their imput and aproval
  23. Glad to give something back to the FISD even if it's onlly something small. Proud to be part of such a informative and helpfull comunity . With unquestioned loyalty
  24. Stormtrooper where first built in the pre led era so that would be why no lights had ever been added. Love the white and black look and think lights may detract from the overal look.
  25. A FISD T shirt would be cool
