  1. Very nice indeed, good luck with approval
  2. I have just recieved one of TM's grappling hook boxes and when you sit it next to ATA armor you can tell the difference in the colour but it is slight, the gloss would be the same. I don't think you would get away it if it was a replacement part of the armor but as it is the lid and seperate from the rest of the armor I don't think people would really notice.
  3. If you watch when TK's are running down some of the hall ways you can pick out the occasional hero helmet here and there. I look at the movies so much more differently after building my TK, I now tend to look for all the differences, mistakes and quirks, stormtroopers holding their helmets so they don't fall off or running away as their should bells fall off LOL.
  4. If you are buying from ATA the lid comes with correct mic tips and lens. Karin's handplates are great, I bought the raw version so I could paint them myself and that allows for some weathering as on screen seen handplates. Gloves came from local supermarket cleaning section, Humbrol paints for local toy shop. If you or your wife are good at sewing you can make your own belt and neck seal, holsters are quite easy to make too.
  5. And just in case you haven't read the above, stay away from ebay
  6. From the front it looks slightly off but that may just be the photo, but sides are the most important to get right, make sure the ends have the same profile as the ridge angle
  7. All I know for sure is Luke on the left has the grappling hook, he is also the TK who pretends his com's are faulty outside the falcon. Hear is a nice photo of both Luke and Han ----------
  8. ATA can supply you with the hero ears, they only have three bumps. You can purhcase a hero upgrade kit on the forum and some members on the make bubble lenses, but the hardest part of the hero version would be the outer teeth need to be filled. For a complete hero lid I would go for TM
  9. The weird thing is he goes into the falcon with a stunt lid and comes out with a hero lid. The only stromtrooper in the legion with a grappling hook, maybe he is a prototype spelunking stormtrooper
  10. you are welcome
  11. Thought I would just do a quick one
  12. Thanks but I picked up a couple at the local hardware shop Still have a few more pieces to do, trim new plastic belt, add drop boxes with the one rivet and loop to be accurate and make the canvas belt. I have made the holster, so just leaves lid and comlink
  13. No need for thanks, you have done the right thing, if you don't know ask, good luck with the rest of the build.
  14. You will have to apply for EIB first
  15. Most armor these days is made out of ABS so you don't need to paint them. If you are looking at making a more screen accurate lid then you can spray it, I have seen airbrush and spray can both used but you may want to check with your GML to see if you can be approved with a painted lid. Can looking really nice if you paint all the different levels of paint and tape in places to give the look of chips. There is some info in this thread here.
  16. Congrats and well done, welcome to the ranks
  17. Just 5 different versions of the same picture, adding or changing an element each frame then using some gif animation software to time the frames. Ravenwood has a pretty sweet fade effect
  18. Happy to help if needed
  19. Thanks guys, next I will have to get started on a comlink
  20. Looking good
  21. Just making a few pieces for a hero conversion, started with the grappling hook. Found this picture online, made a few templates and started cutting. Now ready for a little filler, some sanding then on to paint. Grappling hook painted and assembled Here is the box for the grappling hook, added a switch and a retractable reel. Thanks to Paul (troopermaster) for the vac-formed grappling box. Assembled and finished
