  1. In that case you can use larger cover strips, it is acceptable we just try to aim for standard reference sizing when possible. Be interesting to see how you go with your forearms.
  2. Have you removed all the return edges, can give you a little more room.
  3. Good luck trooper, hopefully you won't be waiting to long
  4. You may need to use a free online photo host such as Imgur to host your images, google doesn't work very well with the forums. Looks like you are just about ready to roll, just need some white bits
  5. Hasbro reveals the new Star Wars Black Series First Order Stormtrooper Helmet, available in the Spring. $99USD. Available to preorder Thursday Feb. 25th at 11AM PST.

  7. Score and snap works for a lot of thinner material but I find ATA is quite thick in comparison so I use a Dremel (knock off brand). I use 3 each with a different tip, nothing worse than having to change tips when you are on a building roll. Cutting disc, drum sanding roller a drill bit.
  8. Yes I would remove those, use a sharp drill bit on low speed and apply a little pressure, keep the heat down.
  9. I prefer 24's but either is ok. Yes a lot of snaps but many use the same system. You can drop the amount of snaps if you want to keep your plastic section and canvas permanently held together but I like to be able to remove the canvas belt in case it needs a wash.

  11. I've seen a couple of people use it in the past but it's not something I recommend, can look quite messy and it's not screen accurate, it's perfectly fine to have some gaps as the screen helmets did
  12. Oh happy days, the excitement then the panic sets in, looking forward to seeing your build, don't be afraid to ask questions, good luck.
  13. Sorry to hear your commission was destroyed, hopefully RS will be up and running at full speed again soon.

  15. Just sold my Sandtrooper to a fellow trooper yesterday and he's been off work since Covid began here, I asked would you like to try it on and he said he'll need to loose some Covid weight first as he won't fit into his own TK armor anymore, seems it's hit a lot of troopers so you are not alone. Good luck losing those pounds, easy to put on, not as easy to get off again
  16. Onwards and upwards

  19. Nice work trooper, looks like an easy pass for basic. Just on the vocoder you could straight the sides of the 2nd ridges they are a little angled
  20. When posting images try to use the "direct link" Normally you would not trim down the raised areas, I have ATA armor which also have the raised sections and my forearms are too big, all you can do is add some foam to the insides to make it sit central on your arm. The gloves will fill the opening at the front.
  21. Hello and welcome aboard, sounds like you will be making a Mando version of the Incinerator trooper going on your purchase info, these are based on the Rogue One armor you can find some information here https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/162-rogue-one/ Here's another build for Remnant Incinerator trooper https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/49446-remnant-incinerator-trooper-wip/
  22. Bumps and lumps are pretty normal with helmets, it's what the original armor had, nothing to be concerned about
  23. Yes squeaks and clanking is pretty common. The largest knows was you sniper plate hitting the thigh, you could try some foam behind the sniper plate which should help hold it away from your thigh. Once you try your mid section armor you can work out how much gap you have at the top of the thighs I added a little foam inside my thighs as they were a little loose.
  24. A sound plan, I converted my 7 year old ATA to a sandy last year, mainly because of scratching on the arms and a couple of cracks, I had a spare ATA TK that I built up in it's place first. Its a very easy swap over from stormy to sandy, just make sure you use E6000 glue so you can remove pieces you need to swap out
  25. Yes you have to have a completed suit, here is some information about joining the 501st legion https://databank.501st.com/databank/Join_Us https://www.501st.com/members/join_form.php
