  1. Try adding this link https://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=41184
  2. "An older thread but it checks out" Time to revive this thread, been a while since anyone has posted, some new ink
  3. Time for a happy dance, congratulations and welcome to the ranks trooper. Once you are issued your TKID (can take a day or two) you can request higher forum access here
  4. Welcome back trooper
  5. Can take a few days to grant access as A.J. is not on the forums every minute of every day
  6. You have to add a link to your legion membership, take a look at the first post in this thread for instructions
  7. Regarding gluing the back of the calves together, I think I'm going to have to find another solution there. It's almost impossible to get my boots on after having the calve armor on. The CRL says: "Greaves are loosely held closed in the back with elastic, shock cord (bungee cord) or white Velcro and are designed to remain flexible." Only the outside coverstrip is glued to the calves, the calves are left open but either overlap (outside over inside) or be held closed with velcro, like your thighs, watch the thigh closure too If you look at the back the backplate is also on an angle.
  8. I started with my detonator, thought that would be simple, luckily we have references
  9. Good luck, hope you get some good news soon
  10. Great news, nothing better than a BBB, even slightly damaged You will find some great info and tutorials in this thread. We all go through the panic, once you trim your first piece you wonder what all the fuss was about. Measure twice and cut once and if you don't know something then ask, there are no silly questions only silly mistakes from not asking Good luck with the build
  11. Great news and welcome to the ranks trooper, once you are issued with your TKID you can request higher access here Once you have been granted higher access you could go straight to requesting Expert Infantry, info here FYI Legion issuing your TKID can take a day or two so keep stalking those emails
  12. Hello and welcome aboard, looking forward to seeing your build, you are welcome to hang here and be dirty
  13. Good luck hope you hear something soon, that waiting for word kills and doesn't diminish with additional costumes
  14. That is entirely up to your GML some are stricter to others, I would trim the corners so you don't hold up your approval process
  15. I don't think you'll have any issues with your GML or approval, good luck . For higher levels just watch alignment of your drop boxes. You may need to add some side strips to fill the gap between abdomen and kidney Belt could come up just a touch (just under last button or overlapping it)
  16. Hardware The bracket screws are 5 mm flat head machine screws Gallery Generally a M3 bolt and locknut.
  17. Unfortunately that link is incorrect, try adding this one https://www.501st.com/members/displaymember.php?userID=34412&costumeID=124
  18. Feedback posted
  19. Looking good for basic approval, I don't think your GML (garrison membership liaison) will point out too much, you will need clearer photos though and perhaps a better background For higher levels, EIB and Centurion you may need a few adjustments. Drop boxes not quite in line with the end of the plastic belt. Kidney overlapping abdomen on side Belt overhang could be trimmed off Could also check those detonator gaps and length. Also could down a little more on the belt. Should straps could come down on backplate Posterior hitting thighs, may need to do a little trimming Mobility cut outs look a little angular Could trim the overhang on your cover strips Belt could come up a little Shins at different heights Also elastic on shoulder straps pulling outwards, perhaps tighter strapping. Try some foam behind your sniper plate, it will help to keep it away from your thigh. Also not thigh and shin not aligned. The top of the ABS belt shall sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical ab button panels. A slight overlap is suggested, but not required. Good luck with approval
  20. Forgot to mention this thread, some really helpful links in it Also my go too builds for helmets
  21. Gotta love a BBB, looking forward to seeing the progress, good luck
  22. Hello and welcome aboard, you will find a whole wealth of information here Good luck with the research and hope to see a build thread from you soon
  23. Nothing better than a BBB, remember measure twice and cut one and if you don't know something ask, there are no silly questions just silly mistakes from not asking Good luck with the build
  24. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks
