  1. Did you drill a small hole at the end of the crack on the plastic, so it doesn't expand (stop drill method)? Did you apply an ABS backing or some backing material with plastic welder or epoxy on the underside of the armor for reinforcement?
  2. I like the way your fiberglass resin bucket turned out. I am contemplating getting one for myself to do a Skytrooper bucket (v2.0). I’d prefer working with that material than ABS. There are a few features offhand I’d have to redo completely to meet LvL 3 standards, e.g. ear bump structure, but overall, I think it would achieve the look I really want.
  3. Know what you mean! Awesome series!
  4. His eBay page says his products ship from Manassas, Virginia. That’s Northern Virginia, specifically; my home state of Garrison Tyranus. I’ll look into it with my unit’s command staff.
  5. Welcome Camden! try to look in the For Sale or Trade thread periodically. Forum members sometimes need to dump their untrimmed armor in a hurry. You might get lucky! https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/41-imperial-commissary-px/ in the meantime look for and gather stuff that’s within your means, e.g. tools, soft parts like the undersuit, elastics and snaps, adhesives or glues, etc. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/42-boots-soft-parts-and-other-accessories/ and have fun in your research!
  6. Alternate reality! Gotta love it! hope all is well Wyatt!
  7. Stay away from eBay. I recommend to go to the Clone Trooper Detachment. look for stuff from KW or DW. They are reasonably priced and reliable. Or look in the Personal Sales thread for 501st members selling their armor. https://501stclonetroopers.com/forum/
  8. You need to carefully slide them off. I recommend using work gloves. Read thru the threads and Joseph’s info about handling magnets. you already bought them. Might as well try to use them. They can help tremendously in compressing the middle portions of your legs and arms.
  9. Have fun out there! Consider applying for the Expert Infantry Badge down the road! https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/113-advanced-tactics/
  10. I personally use foam. I went for dirt cheap. That was best for me. I cut 3” x 3” and hot-glued them around my helmet. I spaced them such, so I could install electronics wedged in between like cylindrical USB batteries, circuit boards, etc. Consider wearing a cap or bandana to help absorb the sweat.
  11. Congrats on finishing Darrell! Your GML should zip right thru the evaluation. Easy L1 pass!
  12. Here are some more pics of troops I've done past few months. They may be out of order datewise. 13. I trooped a charity event earlier in Sept. and sweated in 100+ degree heat with several others - unusual Sept. weather for our area of Virginia. We sweated profusely, bitched, and moaned the entire time. I've never met half of them. But now, if I come across them again, we have something uniquely in common - that sucky, extremely hot troop.
  14. Fantastic pics! Thanks for sharing!
