  1. looking good! and totally jealous of the working folding stock
  2. i'm liking the looks of that piece of kit. I'll be watching for this one!
  3. Congrats Mat. Glad to have more newly minted EiB troopers with me!! Feels good doesn't it?!!
  4. Looks great Martin I am getting close to my final assembly then weather to do...I hope it turns out well!
  5. ah man, you got out in front of me!!! I need to cut my hengstler bracket still and paint before I can full assemble. Let's see some photos from the other side too!!
  6. hmmm, was not able to find a good gunmetal spray paint and when placing my barrel/spring in place, it is too light of a grey using just primer. I may have to darken it up a whee little bit so it is a little less ick.
  7. great advice, I will give that a go. I was causing right head turn feedback in a wide open hockey arena, so definitely a setup issue on my part in terms of levels. Thanks for the insight. Being a noob, I have a lot to learn!
  8. ok noted, will tweak the areas I intended to up front, they are very minor at this point anyway... though that seems to run contrary to most everything I have been told that the kit is ever evolving tweaks and mods to make better, more accurate or more comfortable.
  9. Same issue for this new troooper, I will try to talk louder and I have to find that volume sweet spot, as my first troop, everytime my head was too far right, I got feedback (aker in chest under right breast section, icomm on the left. I could not center it as it won't sit flat if I do.
  10. I scored a bunch of the Hasbro's for foiks earlier this summer at Toys R Us here in Toronto. Keep an eye out there as well if you have one around.
  11. Not really until I see some photos. no real pain points...after Centurion application I will make a few trims, my boots need more breaking in and perhaps less thick insoles. only thing that hurts today are my shoulders I need some practice with my AKER, as every time I turned my head too far right I got feedback. also, my iComm is wicked loud compared to my volume. I also hate having the bucket tethered. I think I will get a head mounted mic (I took off the wire to mount in the bucket).
  12. yeah I knew Han's hooks were in the middle, but I wanted to mount mine where they would not be seen. Either way, I trooped with it last night and was not happy with it overall, so I plan to connect the bicep to the shoulder bell with a strap to keep the rotation and positioning correct.
  13. I'm definitely planning to pick up some patches and rockers when ready!
  14. Ok good news is I found what I need make my hengstler bracket today. I should be ready to assemble once I cut it and paint it.
  15. Right forgot about those straps. Ok noted a well. Thanks!!
  16. Ok a few tweaks the last day or so. Mounted my iComm/Aker in the chest plate: Tad bit of E6000 to hold the thigh ammo pack in place: Trying out bicep "Han Hooks" to keep bicep/forearm in place. If this fails I will make a strap to hold to shoulder. Team Clamps approves of this message:
  17. OMFG I love the Lego one. on my Hasbro, I have the rebel figurine like you have in your bottom left there. Sweet!!
  18. whoohooo, youare getting close. I got my second coat of blacks on mine today!!! Cannot wait to see this finished beauty.
  19. yes, thanks for clarifying David, I left out a key word to start my response...I should have started with "My..." I originally did not have it but the shin would twist a bit due to my soccer calves.
  20. good luck, pm sent earlier with how mine sits and how I glued that puppy.
  21. shin sits on the boot more or less, velcro on the front of boot vertical to keep shin from twisting. My shin is Coverstrip in the front and industrial velcro in the back to close it up. If you seal the shin, you cannot get your foot in and out of it. Some also use (bra style) hooks to close them.
  22. Saturday I am tied up with a prior family commitment. I did not know about that troop until I got official this week. If I can move it, I will be there. Do you want to come by and get the mic tips tonight? perhaps have a tasty bevie before the activites of your evening begin.
