  1. HURRAY and F-Yah!!! Centurion time for Eric!
  2. I did add inner strips mine. I used for sale sign material which is super thin but it held nicely. Did I need it?? I dunno, likely not...But being my first build I tried many things out along the way and this was one of those no harm items for me.
  3. Glen, you REALLY need to get that Armour!!! You will be one amazing looking trooper as you have most excellence skills with the tools. Build it for Centurion from the get go, I am sure it will be easy for ya! feel free to ship the B-A-G to me if you get BORED with it! clamps
  4. Another vote for E6000. I used on my build, which was my first and the forgiving nature was priceless.. plus everything that Phil just said ^^^^ ! good luck.
  5. Congrats Charlie! Welcome to Centurion!!
  6. Congrats trooper!!! I'm glad the clips did not hold things up!!'
  7. ^^^^ This ^^^^ is so very true. I am living breathing TK proof of this point. Good luck with your research and build.
  8. Great start Josep. Looks like you have put a lot of planning into the build! I am jealous of how great your painting on your bucket. I assume you are aiming for Centurion ? One item that might need addressing before that stage is the Male snap on your right Ab is facing OUT when it should be facing inside. Good luck with the EiB!
  9. yes sir, well, "Clamp" technically, but close enough.... I was always told to OWN IT when it comes to being given a nickname, so I took it and ran with it. I really struggled when it came to submission time, as I had a list of ID's I was wanting to use that had a bit of significance to me. But ultimately, this was just too fun to pass up.
  10. good job guys. This is a great resource for everyone!
  11. I personally LOVE the newsletter. I would read it in any format, though I may need a PDF of this month's for personal reasons. But the point here is that it is a great communication tool to summarize the goings on every month. This is by far the best Detachment I have come across (I have been researching others for costuming ideas) and this is just another great thing I am not seeing elsewhere. The tips are great, the Data points are fun to read, the sharing of great stories and events make me smile and all of this confirms for me that I made the right choice to be a TK first and will always be a TK at heart. with unquestioned loyalty for ever and ever amen, TK-26257 -> That spells "Clamps" yo!
  12. wouldn't you want the legs to lay flat when completed so as not to have a raised area for things to catch on? or am I missing something totally obvious?
  13. I used Nylon strapping material and they are quite secure. They conform to the armour shape nicely. Time will tell how secure, but nothing is remotely coming loose after a couple months. I used a punch tool to make the holes in mine, I tried the solder iron, but it took way to much time and effort. The punch tool was one of my better purchases in this TK built. As was an inexpensive 12lb anvil. it saved me from having to go upstairs and outside to hammer all those damn snaps! That woulda been a bummer.
  14. Just a heads up that the CRL for EiB calls for approx. 1", so they may be a little wide... I dunno if that will prohibit the approval (Matthias's call) but definitely worth thinning down to look nicer. Edit: I totally forgot to say: Good Luck Trooper!
  15. Congrats Mark on the Provost Marshal nod!
  16. <poked head out from hiding spot> Ingrid, for the Tip of the month, shall we assume that is the ANH colour scheme? Is there a paint reference tip sheet for ESB and ROTJ as well? I only ask as I am painting my ESB bucket, or I was before my little brish cleaner mishap.... but anywho I digress. If there is no official Tip sheet, I guess I will ask over in the ESB area. <returns to hiding spot>. thanks, clamps
  17. Oh Jenny Jenny Jenny, perhaps one day when the lotto fairy pays me a visit, I'll be sure to put you down for a kit!!
  18. Ah man. I am not worthy!! Looking for a corner to hide in.
  19. Nice bucket Craig. Congrats on the Approval sir!
  20. one simple word to describe it: addiction its like my body NEEDS ABS dust to survive now!
  21. Thanks everyone. The good news this morning is that nothing seems any worse than it did last night. I did find a tiny pin hole in the back of the bucket, but I think that is why I was able to pick it up as a B-grade discount. I am trying to convince myself that is the case anyway. I will pick up some ultra fine grit sandpaper and novus and see if I can get the smooth shine back.
  22. Couple more images BEFORE the crisis:
