  1. Congrats from a fellow ESB trooper (though I don;t often troop that config). Good luck with the mods for EIB and Centurion. Don't forgot to show some photos to prove it too
  2. Great atttitude in your approach to the feedback and recommended mods. One thing that does not seem to be mentioned is the Blaster. Being a Hasbro mod, I believe it needs to have one of the pre-existing t-tracks removed. Excerpt from CRL noted below: "If using the Hasbro E11 toy blaster and you cover all the rows of holes, the blaster will have 7 T-tracks total. But, if you want to have the correct number of T-tracks (6 total) with the lower row of open vent holes on the magazine housing side, then you shall cover the pre-existing rows of holes with T-tracks, and grind off the lower integrated T-track on the magazine housing side and drill a new row of holes in its place." Good luck with the remainder of the approval process.
  3. Buckets off to the both of you, fantastic work!
  4. Shiny! Congrats Kevin! Be sure to request full 501st acccess here on the boards and add your TK ID / Garrison details to your profile.
  5. Wow is right, that looks fantastic
  6. I wish I could provide you a defnitive answer here, but I am by no means an expert on the cut cod. I will simply state that from what I have read from the most knowledgeable and trusted builders over the last year plus is not to cut the cod. Some folks still do and love it. Some do and then wish they had not. ultimately your call. In regards to getting EiB approval with a cut cod peice, I will leave that to our DO, FunkyTrigger to comment. if he does not chime in on this thread, I encourage you to reach out to him and get his feedback. Also have a search for threads and posts on the topic to see the various opinions out there. good luck!
  7. Looking great, congrats on your Approval. Welcome to EI Trooper!
  8. Tyler, When in doubt be sure to keep a copy of the CRL printed and handy. The back of the TK armour is essentially three pieces: The back plate (OII), the kidney and the butt plate. So yes, you would separate the kidney and butt plate, but then later strap them together. The front is two pieces, the chest plate and the Ab/cod. It is NOT recommended to cut the cod piece to make a "TK brief" There are so many different strapping methods, I trolled tons of build threads and EiB and Centurion threads to find various strapping recommendations that worked for me. What I chose to do is have a connection from my upper Ab to my upper kidney plate that goes over each shoulder, so it is suspender like. Honestly, once I have everything on, I am not sure that strapping is actually doing anything. It will be a bit of trial and error and I am sure there are lots of recommendations you can get when you ask around. Good luck with the continued research and build and feel free to keep asking questions. Many AP kit owners on these forums to assist with any AP specific queries..
  9. congrats on the Brown box delivery and for jumping right in to the trimming. I am not sure where you live compared to Ryan (Bluehickey), but if you guys are close, I am sure he can lend some local assistance or advice. Look forward to following your progress with that shiny AP.
  10. Great work on the mods, and be careful, you might shoot your fingers off holding your weapon like that
  11. Grab the 12's and put a nice thick insole (memory foam style). You'll have happy comfy feet I am a 10.5 shoe and went with the 10 and they were a bit tight with insole installed. I grabbed another pair in 11 and with the memory insole my feet are sooo happy.
  12. Congrats on approval TK 81720!
  13. A single squirrel blower fan in the right mandible area pointing upwards slightly. Also left a small gap at bottom of lenses to allow airflow versus sealing entire eye. No fogging yet through 21 troops.
  14. What colour is the unpainted tube? Ideally it should be grey, not sure the exact gray but similar to the gray on your an buttons/frown. In my case for my TD I used primer paint gray versus humbrol or testors paint due to the large surface area. Let's see what Phil's thoughts are when he checks the thread. He'll be able to provide more specific info.
  15. maybe its my monitor, but your TD seems pretty dark, almost black compared to the grey we see on most TD canisters. Can you confirm the colour used?
  16. I have averaged about 1 fix per troop lately, generally no more than 30-60 mins of effort put in. Though today I had three cracks in my back plate for some reason from yesterday's troop. I guess I gotta stop break-dancing. Honestly I spend more time making sure everything is organized/inspected after a troop (and AIRED OUT). Not having a car, I frequently have to go to troops via transit, so things go into smaller, more portable carriers (compared to my Stanley Tote).
  17. congrats and welcome to Centurion Anthony and NE Armour!
  18. Congrats, that is a fantastic NE build. Well done trooper!
  19. congrats and welcome to Centurion Trooper!!
