  1. I will check with him to see if he wants to expand his sale beyond the 501st boards.
  2. You don't need a garrison forum account to apply for 501st approval/acceptance. Go to this page and scroll down to the "Submitting your Application" section. http://www.501st.com/databank/Membership:JoinUs Follow those steps and you'll be on your way. That said. Being in touch with your GML to give him/her a heads up is good too. I am sure there is a GML email address on your garrison home page.
  3. A garrison mate of mine has put together system and is doing a run on the main 501st boards: http://www.501st.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=78726
  4. Congrats and welcome to Centurion!
  5. this link outta help you sort that question... http://www.501st.com/databank/Membership:JoinUs
  6. I recently switched from chicago screws to snaps on my holster for easier removal for packing or non-blaster troops.
  7. Very important step in the process...I would also recommend giving the entire blaster a cleaning before paint step as well to remove any dust and debris.
  8. No worries my man. You can always fish the wires out and splice in a fix. You'll have lights again I just know it
  9. I have someone in my Garrison who is working on a system, he did a trial run today at a parade, have not heard the results. I plan to work with him on one for my TK and Tusken. If he decides to make a run, I will be sure it posts over here
  10. I have to agree. Have a read through and bookmark the various AP builds. Look and see what others have done and then at some point jump right in. For me I went with helmet first. I wanted the soul of the kit to come from the classic stormtrooper helmet. From there I picked off a few easy things like hand plates and TD. At some point you're gonna have to move into harder territory and size, mark, measure, measure, cut, barf and repeat for the limbs. Good luck!
  11. Great service experience and products for me. In Toronto I'd get my supplies generally in 7-10 days. Cannot comment on stateside delivery speeds.
  12. When drilling the holes in the hasbro, BE careful if you are not disassembling, there are s few plastic bits that lurk inside that can grab your drill bit and pull it off line. Ideal situation is to have a drill press and a solid grip/vice on blaster. Also, go slow so that you don't nick any wiring to your LED. This is from experience....I did NONE of what I am advising and I made a mess of it and had to fill and reshape a couple holes AND re-wire the LED. Not fun.
  13. Brenton, can you be more specific about what part of the cover strip process you are troubled with.
  14. goood tip, I had no marking issues, but had a few magnets chip, split, break apart by not having them taped up originally
  15. forgot to give you the virtual high five - TK Clamps approves!
  16. Most importantly though, TEST on scrap if you are every remotely in doubt.
  17. +1 for using Testors Thinner on my bucket to wipe off a terrible chin paint two or three times.
  18. I am in the "build it yourself camp" I had ZERO experience and I put together the kit on my own with very little local assistance. i read, researched and asked when I was unsure. I planned my build to be Centurion from the get go as it is much easier to build in the extra needs versus going back after the fact and trying to change/mod . I learned a $h!t ton putting this thing together and I have been able to mod and fix with ease. Somehow I have now become a GO-TO person in the garrison for TK related assistance despite only being in the legion for year. Good luck with your research and build!
  19. Jim, here's the link if you need a shortcut over to the Krayt Clan Detachment site. Look forward to seeing you over there.
