  1. If you have accepted the responsibility of being an Attaché, this is a reminder that we are asking you to check in over HERE pretty please.
  2. Congrats trooper, welcome to EIB
  3. Same for me. Original cut the mic and placed in bucket but I hated being tethered so I did/do same as Glen. Fun times ahead for you sir!!
  4. LOVING that last happy smile photo!
  5. +1, I'd totally want in on that. We'd all walk around like C3PO
  6. I nominate this for Photo of the Year. Brilliant!!!
  7. A compression undersuit is designed to be pretty much form fitting, not loose and bunchy... also a body suit that is too lose or bunches up could lead to discomfort (and look not so nice) in those high bendy areas (elbows and knees).
  8. Seems like a good start, for sure there is some fit and finish to do....it might help us see better and recommend some options if we can see some photos from sides and back, perhaps with hands out so we can see fully how the kit is sitting on your body. try to stand up straight in all angles, here you are kind of standing casually so its hard (for me) to see whats causing the ab issue specifically.
  9. If you were to get a full Doopy kit, you could do the minimum configuration right out of the box with little more than your preferred glue (i used 5 minute two part epoxy), spray paint (primer and some black) and the metal strip to make a scope rail/counter bracket. If when you are researching this seems beyond your abilities, Evilboy makes a couple of nice ready made scope rail/counter bracket options. You can certainly get way more complicated and detailed in the build if you'd like, but it is not required. Things such as some bondo to clean up any bubbles in the resin, moving trigger, moving cocking handle, etc.. With the basic assembly, you can have a Centurion level approvable blaster. you can have the kit built within a day with quick drying glue. Or you can do a little at a time. Paint will take a couple days if the weather is right. Good luck with your research, and be sure to read through various blaster builds such as the one linked in my signature, or ones far superior to mine that you'll find in the E-11 section.
  10. Tantive IV Boarding Party Fire Team checking in. Current member list: TK-6731 Keith Foo TK-6093 Andrea Loar TK-3636 Dan Duggan TK-25267 Charles Bowes TK-9418 Ken Morse TK-2029 Leisa Knapp TK-34624 Paul Young TK-47223 Kevin Pressault TK-3417 Phil Fabroni In a little over a year since our initial creation, the Fire Team has logged 29 troops. All members have fulfilled the minimum two FT troop criteria except our two newest recruits of KEvin and Leisa. I am sure that they can easily meet the requirement by their 1 year anniversary on the FT.
  11. very nice, I cannot wait to see the final result after your bucket and weathering is complete... - Tantive IV trooper for the big win!
  12. Another user of the east bay gear. I use the mock neck top to help ensure the neck seal material doesn't pop out.
  13. a couple cheap clip-on type found with a quick search (quality unknown), not sure if you can have them shipped in time for the weekend or if you have stores in Quebec, but: NCIX: ------- Canada Computers: -----------
  14. Hell, I don;t have the brackets/screws and cracking is just something I have already come to expect and deal with on various locations of my armour. while I doubt I would want to achieve an optional accuracy level, I really like the idea. And as I mentioned before, I think I will get some screws to install in the return edge of the chest and possible back/kidney to replicate the look externally... just because... Great discussion everyone!
  15. Congrats and welcome (fellow AP) to EIB
  16. similar photo to Glen's, different angle and naturally more Clamps -----------
  17. I think I have just been motivated to adding some screws to mine. Research for right screws is underway!
  18. If you end up needing to acquire 1/16, then double them up. I did so for some rectangle ones I bought off eBay before I knew what to acquire early on. Never enough clamps and magnets Glen!
  19. I plan to buy some 1" discs soon, after a year, I need to re-glue some covers trips that are puilling up in a couple places...greater surface area will provide a more consistent pressure for cover strip glue phase. nothing wrong with 1/2" its a cost effective size to get in quantity. go with your order if you already placed it and if you need to, grab some larger ones to compliment later.
  20. Glen summed it up pretty darn well. +1 to everything he said
  21. when you receive them, tape them with painters tape else you risk them cracking apart when the decide to snap into each other when you are not 100% paying attention. It will happen. I have broken at least a dozen into 1/2 or smaller pieces because I did not do the taping. If you can afford it, consider larger discs, think coverstrip width diameter. I got smaller ones like these and plan to pick up larger ones when I get into another build of my own...
  22. another option if you don;t get folks looking, is to start a thread specific to the issue, might get more eyes to your concern.
  23. Have dig through the various NE threads, many folks probably had same question. Having never helped hands on with an NE, I have no advice other than checking other NE builders. Good luck.
  24. its ok NOT to have return edge on the wrists. For Centurion its a requirement for it to be removed. Also, it will make things more comfy around the wrist, less material to dig into your wrist.
