  1. If I had known I coulda dropped in. I was in QC for the day yesterday doing some site recon for upcoming work events.
  2. not very round actually when you have a look see at post #70
  3. Your too kind Walt. But your kit is quite popular up our way. Seems you've sold 5 into our garrison now. Gonna be a gaggle of little troopers running amuck.
  4. Been sick the last few days hindering progress. But here is a shot from our almost complete test fitting. Only missing TD. I don't intend on attaching a holster at this time as I am not letting the kids carry Blasters at such a big show coming up. I have a few areas to trim for comfort and a few straps to tweak by overall we're there. Next time chunk to be focused on daughters limb construction.
  5. ok, I have been off the grid a bit more than expected the, but progress is being made. Next full test fitting in a day or so. Boots have been painted. BEFORE AFTER shins shortened (from bottom). I have added some strapping for the thigh to be held up with a small belt. --------- I also received additional set of limbs to use for my daughter. Those have been rough trimmed. I just need to sand out the top/bottom and fronts. I will then glue front cover strips before performing the sizing steps. Also, all coverstrips have been cut out. Will size those down and cut corners when the limbs are sized.
  6. You might be thinking the top of the bicep is the strap but it's not, the black below that is the actual strap going around the bicep.
  7. Cheap vodka in a spray bottle is a good disinfectant. And a tasty bevie.
  8. First off, Congrats on your EIB appointment! Sorry I am late to the game to make comments before the appointment, but one detail that may have been overlooked...it looks like the left shin closure is facing outward versus inward. It could be an optical illusion in the full body where I am seeing the edge of your right coverstrip next to your left leg. Your right shin may also be facing outward too, cannot tell on your full body, but the way the velcro shows a tiny bit in the corrected coverstrip photo above, it looks like it is facing wrong way. Hope I am wrong, but it I am right, you should consider changing that so the closure is not visible from the sides. Again, Congrats, its a nice looking suit you have put together sir.
  9. My daughter is 54" and a wafer thin. My son is 52" and is solid head to toe. This was measurement when I ordered from ya. Let me get a fresh measure for ya in a bit.
  10. lately I have been using a Hoo-Rag, as most balaclava I have tried, keep slipping off my chin and pulling my mic to an unreachable/useable position.
  11. Alrighty. Finally some success on the undersuit. After digging through racks and racks at every store possible I have been able to find women's XS Capri pants. This is fine as it more than covers the kids knees. And digging through tons of racks in Dicks I have found a shirt that works. Just waiting on the boots to arrive and we'll be all set to finish things when I return from vacation.
  12. Soo friggin frustrated looking for undersuit for kids. I'm in the US for remainder of week. Nothing at Wal Mart, target , kmart, TJ Maxx, Marshall's and the like. The best I can do is women's leggings. Nothing. Even close short wise. I really prefer somewhere where I can have kids try them on as my son is beefy and daughter a string bean. Using size charts is total crap shoot. Ughghghghghghgh!!!!!!
  13. So, the Shoulder bridges glue was not able to hold due small contact area which in turn is due to the limited length of the bridges. I moved to Velcro before I left for my trip. finally found a good deal on boots, they might be a little big for the kids' feet, but I plan to put thick insole. They are Smoky Mountain Women's Leather Jodphur boots. Got them for $33 plus shipping. Boots were 1/2 price due to being only pair in stock or something like that. The online store was Equestrian Collections .com. Once I made that order, I went ahead ordered Angelus paint, deglazer and some fabric paint for the boots. all of that was ~$12 plus shipping. Still struggling to find compression wear for the kids. I have tried Target (US). Next attempts will be Wal Mart (US) and some other shops recommended by other folks in the area where I am visiting. Finally, I have decided to acquire additional limbs from Walt to be able to make a set that also fits my daughter. the torso and helmet will be shared (for now).
  14. AP for me too. Check out some build threads (mine is linked in signature below) of AP owners to see the ins and outs.
  15. Have not had much free time this week in preparation for being out of town. But a few more details are underway. Shoulder bridges curves attached to chest: Ab button details glued. Hope I got them on right Also been conducting some strapping tests an experiments. Final setup has to wait for an undersuit as tshirts are just too thick and it's messaging with proper closure and alignment
  16. On your front traps. You should not have an angled or curved black line and grey near he brow trim. I believe it should come straight across only parallel to brow line.
  17. Glad to see the same right wear look as mine where it looks pinched in compared to left side. Be sure to paint screws white on the ears.
