  1. +5 on that, plus its fun to put together.
  2. Finally got to do some painting - sorry colour is a little off because of my office's light. Got the "base coat" on both of the E-11's the other day. Leaving the Hasbro Mod "basic" for now. It's sort of my throw-away E-11 so I don't really want to spend too much time on it as it will be travelling with me (in case I lose it or something, I won't feel so bad). Great part is that I kept the red light and sound working which is great on the black hammered coat. Things I need to do, 1. Get the base coat a little more SA 2. Detailing ... 3. Weathering 4. Maybe some more mods if I feel like it (ie. wires, the scope on the Hasbro)
  3. I ordered mine March 3rd. Still waiting FYI. But I hear I will get it by the end of June. This has been anticipated though as I talked to a few others on the boards. Usually 12-16 weeks.
  4. Looking great Charles! I've seen this E-11 in real life and it's fantastic. Thanks also for the funny reticule sticker. Love it!
  5. Nice one Jason! Looking forward to your build.
  6. I would also be very interested in buying a kit if these ever go for sale.
  7. Lookin' good man. Too bad about the LED though, it would have been cool to keep.
  8. Hasbro conversion done. Well the basics at least, which is really what I want to leave it at because it's going to be my trooping blaster. So no point spending a ton of time on it. For formal events or pictures I'll bring the resin E-11 instead. That really didn't take a long time at all to convert!
  9. It's been a while since I updated this. Work and other stuff got in the way but today was a weapons only day for me. As you can see quite busy working on three projects at various stages of completion. DL-44, Hasbro Mod, and E-11... now that I have a dedicated working space (and the weather is cooperating, I hope to finish these quite soon!) And yes, I clearly have a newborn! Haha.
  10. Same ones bobo always recommends so I'd have to say yes.
  11. Go EIB Andrea, you're our pathfinder!
  12. Hi I had that question too but double checked with him and his paypal jives with him. So you're definitely okay.
  13. Ahhhh ... too many mental images generated by this thread.
  14. Hi all, I want to give Mark kudos for doing this (halting RTW) versus just keep taking orders knowing they would be extremely delayed. I think its a sign of a respectible business by making customers aware of the situation and acting responsibly.
  15. Strange Mark has always been very responsive to me via email. Latest one was May 4th. I know that they are pretty overwhelmed right now with orders. But I'm sure Mark will make a comment here.
  16. I was kinda going with that erm ... "Stadium pal" ... for those that can't resist the morbid curiousity of what it is http://www.stadiumpal.com/what-works.html
  17. If you REALLY wanted to worry about it, you could always attach a "bag" ... in your thigh piece. Sorry don't want to go into TOO much visuals here.
  18. Hi everyone - just so that this can be clear to everyone. We are now talking to Chris Brown who is a XO with the Canadian Garrison this Sunday. In fact, some of our Tantive IV Boarding Party as we are now called (squad is apparently an important term in the 501st) are also attending to see how we can help make things better for everyone. One of the idea is to have the T4BP be a facility for TK recruits into the Canadian Garrison. Thus in actuality, we are on the path to make things better not just for us but for ALL new recruits in the future who are interested in joining the Canadian Garrison. Again we are engaged with some of the leadership at the CG now and things are on a very positive track, so we don't want this to be muddled with assumptions etc. at this time - the issue is well on it's way to being much better than before. Shooter - to be clear we (the T4BP group) at no time made any negative comments about any personnel at the CG, this has already been cleared up with Chris Brown and if you look through all our posts you will see our stance against negative comments. We've reiterated among ourselves and in public the need to be "the solution" not the problem and refuse to engage in any negative commentary. Not only are we proud members of FISD, but also proud Canadians first and foremost. We gain nothing by tarnishing the name of our country either. The T4BP group is now 12 members strong including experienced TK's from the Force United Niagara group who are also part of the Canadian Garrison. Things are going VERY well, and our meeting with the Canadian Garrison XO is going to make things even better by (hopefully) coming up with a way to integrate T4BP into the operations of the Canadian Garrison by alleviating some of the operational pressures that might be place on the already busy Canadian Garrison when it comes to managing recruits, opening recruit forums etc. In my mind, this discussion has been completely worthwhile. We are certainly going to be better in the future for it.
  19. Great .... the standards for Hasbro mods just went up! J/K great job Charles/Bryan.
  20. Hi Chris, no hard feelings brother. I want to share that Chris has now joined the Tantive IV Cannon Fodder Squad (T4CFS) and is actively working with us to see how we can make the process better for all future recruits into the Canadian Garrison. I'm very happy that a positive outcome will happen because of this. Maybe, just maybe the T4CFS can be the facility to help the CG with new recruits? T4CFS - Making the world a better place, one recruit at a time. Haha.
  21. Yup any situation can be made better if we focus on how we can work together! I'm very excited to meet my fellow cannon fodderites this July when hopefully all of us will have our armour ready to go. This turned out better than expected for all involved (so far) - mostly in large thanks to FISD for givng newbies an avenue in this complex landscape.
  22. One of our members pretty much had said that but luckily he found the FISD and is a big part of our group. So he's moving on with his build. I too felt a little set back as well, but I figured it was an initiation thing where only the most serious get through to the end. (ie. Finding stuff out by yourself, showing some commitment.) We're not here to cause political drama, not worth it and we rather be a piece of the solution not the problem. That's what we're trying to do.
  23. Hi Terry, I think that's what we were all expecting. Oh well. Like I or we said, not here to bash anyone or make any comment. On the plus side! Our social group The Tantive IV Cannon Fodder Squad is in full swing with 9 members already and counting - our only goal to help everyone get a TK number and to give newbies a place to chat/hang out. We have our first get together tentative for July already so very excited. I think of ourselves as filling in for a service that is needed in our area.
  24. I think there should probably be a standard email from the CG that addresses the following, 1. Need to be a TK to join 2. This is how you become a TK 3. This is how the process works 4. This is where you can get help (link to detachments) I think that would help immensely. Don't even have to be overtly friendly or anything. This would really ease people's fears etc. Anyhow - there's 7 TKs now on the newbie GTA mailing list/FB group. We'll all figure it out together... and troop together no matter what. Our goal, to get every member in our little group a TK number!
  25. There's definitely a disconnect. Because I would echo that every TK I talked to at Toronto Comic Con was great and very friendly. I'm concerned about the TK approval process frankly and how that could possibly work given the what appears to be typical experience so far. But like Andrea said, for now we have each other. We'll all figure it out together. I think we're seven TK's now in our little ol' group.
