  1. Jealous! Wish I didn't live like 3000+ miles away!
  2. +1 ... especially true in paintball.
  3. Excellent Charles! On a good note, when you do get the doopys kit - it kills a few weeks. I'm painting my resin kit and waiting on my Hasbro conversion kit while I wait for my TK to come in. I ordered back in March REALLY hoping for at least June/July delivery. I have two Cons in August I need my TK for.
  4. A bloody long time. Quality is better than a rushed job.
  5. Good to keep an eye out for them. I may try to get a second one.
  6. It's really a personal decision I think. Any of the "approved" vendors are going to give you a good product. Best is if you can see an ATA and AP in person and make a choice that way. Local garrison?
  7. Man, the lightside is winning this battle. Seems like my sister's X-Wing costume is going to be done first and I started a month earlier. But I suppose it isn't a fair competition - TK is so much more complicated. The DL44 is pretty cool though.
  8. Can anyone recommend a primer? I'm done with the build and starting to paint now....
  9. For what it's worth coming from me. Go with the iComm. Best value for money out there. Aker is okay on it's own - very good amp but iComm makes a huge difference.
  10. Just make sure you clamp that puppy down while sawing... and erm, don't breathe in too deepy (depending on what metal you got)... haha
  11. Ah okay I get it now. That sucks bro. From what I've seen they appear to be quite hard to get a hold of outside of ebay.
  12. Maybe just buy it and get their attention? Sorry is it a listed item on their ebay store?
  13. Yes, I asked for combined shipping for two items and they responded through ebay email.
  14. 10 and ordered 9. They fit nice and I don't have to use thick (hot) socks or insoles.
  15. Hyperfirm is SO much better but really hard to get in Canada due to gun laws. Otherwise i would have gotten one too.
  16. Congrats Charles. Good choice. Mark from AP is very responsive and great to work with. Like I mentioned TKboots definitely - I would go with the 10, their sizes seem rather large. I'm actually a 10 and I went with their 9. Blaster wise - yeah you don't have a choice really unless someone has a Doopys kit lying around. I sucked it up and got it shipped here. I picked up the Hasbro conversion kit and a DL44 for my sister as well. Voice - I spent a lot of time researching this and I went with Aker+iComm combo, best value for money imho. It's in the ongoing sales forum.
  17. Where'd you get that foam from? I found some SCA foam on the internet but shipping is horrendus...
  18. Hacksaw! It's not as hard as it looked. I was quite scared to do it but it worked out just fine for me.
  19. I think your luck driving would be higher than flying because if you're busted you could point to your armour and argue the point. Flying... you can't.
  20. I am blown away!
  21. Don't know dude. Between experience in paintball etc. fans are really the only way to make it work most of the time. It's just the physics of it all you're battling.
  22. Lots to do on it still (as you noticed some pieces still not glued on) -- right now I'm hoping just to get it done for now and make mods after the fact. I think it's one of those things that are just never quite "done". Will post "final" picture once I get all the pieces on. "Green stuff" is wargame modelling stuff that I used in the past to fill gaps in pewter and resin models. Works well, you can get it from http://www.games-wor...Id=prod1380024a but more expensive than apoxie sculpt which I can't seem to find in Canada.
