  1. All these Stormtroopers going!
  2. Oh man, I have no chance to finish my kit on time - represent well my brothers! I will be watching from the sidelines
  3. Watching this build closely! Nice job so far!
  4. +1 Just purchased from their ebay store works fine for me too.
  5. Funny thing. I blame just looking at that helmet for getting me into this hobby. $2000 later... I'm still as happy as a little school boy on summer break. So I guess it was a good thing!
  6. Picked up Eastbay compressions! What a great price - hopefully they work out.
  7. I had a pair of nomex gloves for something else (aka beating my friends with boffered weapons) a while back - it bled for a bit but then after repeated use it stopped. I think the best way to "wear it in" is to literally wear it I think. Today I use it for everything from moving to winter gloves.
  8. E-11 on its way can't wait to start the build!

let me know how it goes im thinking of saving that build for last. as i have some mod ideas on how i can make it look quite real add some electronics etc.

  9. Do you guys find fans interfering with your mic in the helmet? I just got my squirrel fan today and it is AWESOME but not sure if it is too loud that I will be forced to use PTT vs. VOC.
  10. Totally agree with you on that, for us once we factored in the shipping costs to Canada, we were almost $3000. Nice to know we weren't far off!
  11. Yup that's pretty much my assessment too. Which lead my sister to the Rebels. I couldn't believe the details in Boushh I never noticed before.
  12. Boushh eh? How did she find that build? It looked really tough that we (my sister and I) didn't want to tackle that right off the bat.
  13. I suppose drinking at a pub in my kit would be a bad idea as well.
  14. Talked to Mike - it seems like it is working now. I think he must have been updating the site as I was buying because when it started to work I think I saw new items.
  15. Thanks bro! Back to loading up on random bits!
  16. Strange it's working now! That was really weird. Maybe a glitch?
  17. Hehe... that's why I posted here I hope that he will see this. If I can't get it to work then there might be others out there that are trying to buy stuff too.
  18. Hi anyone tried to buy items from Trooperbay lately? I'm having some weird problems with the site. Items don't seem to show up in shopping cart (tried with both multiple and single items). Cannot "contact" webadmin either - keeps telling me I get the number question wrong. Even though I'm pretty sure 3+4=7....
  19. Yeah I deep down I want to be the "bad guys" and the TK's bursting through in the first Act of ANH was just etched into my memory as a kid so to me they are all kinds of cool.
  20. I ordered a doopy-doo E-11 kit so that should keep me occupied for a while! Reading up on those now.
  21. She "sorta" started on the Dark SIde and wanted to be a bounty hunter - particulary Boushh but after some research that kit is just pretty darn hard to get together without either a lot of money to spend or knowing how to sew well. The helmet alone is probably $400-500. So she went with her next favourite thing ... a rebel pilot - which I have to admit is pretty cool seeing as how you get to paint your own helmet and unless you're going canon with a particular pilot. Which she isn't - tiny asian female pilot in ANH. Yup pretty much non-existant. So she gets to be whatever she wants. I will turn her though eventually... maybe TIE pilot. Hmm.
  22. I have to check out these other brands but I typically use UA for workouts etc. and I feel pretty comfortable using them because I know what I'm getting. Still, I will keep my mind open.
  23. Hmm those pictures are exactly the ones I've seen for $39+ ... is there a tag or some kind of labelling on the gloves to indicate where they are made/from? Because I was thinking of shelling out for (visually according to those pictures) the exact same gloves but now I'm a little hesitant. I was looking at these. --------
  24. I imagine the stunt is a little easier for trooping due to the flat lenses vs. bubble lenses of the hero. But I will let the veterans here comment on that (my opinion is pure theory). Other than that from my research, I find it is mostly personal choice. I went with stunt myself because it seemed like a good place to start. Hero kits are available to mod a stunt after the fact so I don't think you're stuck with one or the other anyways.
