  1. If you can lock yourself in a room away from significant others and children you can save several days off your build alone
  2. If this looks anything like your SWAT build, it's going to look amazing!
  3. The ears alone took me over an hour each so that's a pretty fair assessment.
  4. Just make sure you get the boots and other soft parts ASAP as some have a bit of a line to wait.
  5. Yeah you want to get the two front facing cover strips near touching. Around the 5 minute marker
  6. If you foresee yourself needing to recreate return edges then you can get a hobby iron but like everyone else said, don't bother until you need it. I got mine from Amazon and if you're a prime member it shows up in 2 days anyways.
  7. Looks perfect height for a roadblock Captain sandtrooper but for a TK you are going to want to lower it some. And remember, once you put the ears on, it'll get rid of the remaining gap that the bottom rivet doesn't eliminate.
  8. Probably 90% of my shopping is done online. I'm a cheapscape too so I'm always looking for the best deal. If a company doesn't have a website or has bad reviews, I'll pay more if that becomes my only option. Obviously in our hobby, the majority of the vendors do not have websites for good reasoning but the ones I have emailed have always gotten back to me within a day or so. Felix is correct, without customers you can't run a business.
  9. Another good explanation is on TK1636's YouTube video tutorial. Around the 5 minute marker
  10. MEPD voted for CRL updates about abandoning mesh or not on level 2 and 3 but it was shot down. Not everyone wants to paint the inside of their helmets black and a little mesh does help being able to see through the teeth some.
  11. If you are going sandie and need a pauldron, look here: http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=4934&st=0
  12. You need to trim the finishing strip on the back of the shins. It should start bellow the top ridge
  13. So by the end of the weekend you should be ready for approval, right?
  14. You're back at it again! Almost at the finish line!
  15. Gaps are screen accurate to a degree. That's fine. If you're overly worried, you can order a second pair of ears. People use all sorts of stuff to mount their lenses and reinforce the hovi mics. You can do whatever you want to the inside of your bucket as long as it doesn't effect the outside appearance (excluding mesh behind teeth)
  16. Anyone getting their tracking # yet? *** Goes to safe zone ***
  17. Very nice crisp lines. I like it. I would like it more if it had a few bumps on the dome but not too shabby.
  18. For the amount RS props charges (it's worth it because it's a great kit), they should have better communication.
  19. I think AM2.0, RT-Mod, or even the updated AP kit will work for you.
  20. You could do a Chewbacca. You definitely have the height for Chewy or Vador though. Lots of guys your height pull off a TK too though
  21. Oh, boy. I couldn't last 3 minutes of that balding guy's horrible laugh.
  22. ABS paste with a glued small piece of ABS in the back glued with CA glue
  23. You can spend as little as $500 or you can spend upwards to $4k. It's up to you which armor and how much you want to put into it. Please check out the getting started section: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/38-getting-started-read-this-first/
  24. You can put a light amount on the top section, sand with 150 and higher grades until wet sanding around 800+ and you wont even see it at all.
