  1. Well it depends how confident you are with your hands. If you arn't too confident then get it trimmed, you'll probably still need to make alterations though. If you're pretty handy (no pun intended) then get untrimmed and just cut it out yourself. ATA is cheaper than TM, but TM is considered one of the best looking suits out there. I'm sure if you look around you'll find plenty of pictures of fellow troopers' armour. I have pics up somewhere around there parts.
  2. Black armour is the shadow troopers. Well ANH, ESB and ROTJ are all pretty much the same in terms of difficulty to put together. Go for what look you prefer. Main difference between ANH and ROTJ is the frown colour and the ROTJ armour has a sort of edge around the chest piece. Err. Have a look at the pictures and you'll see what I'm talking about. Size wise, you'll be alright. I'm 5' 10" and 145lbs and with some cutting and trimming I made my armour fit well. There's plenty of info on this forum to help you with anything you may need.
  3. lol I'm instantly reminded of a wrestler called 'Shockmaster'. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3CL28vgE4U
  4. Gasp! How very dare you insult my work, sir! j/k Well it was very difficult to get the correct pose as BOTH troopers are me. Taken seperately and stuck together in photoshop. Hmm. Yeah I guess you could say he's holding his crotch, but he's supposed to be injured. Well that's the look I was going for anyway. Problem with photoshop CS3 is it doesn't have the awesome pupet feature CS5 has, If it did, I could simply move his hand a bit and it'd look different. Sadly I don't have the early project files, so making adjustments is a pain in the butt. Anyhoo, I'm not gonna fudge around with this much more as it's already on revision 10! As for ordering, it's still not 100% finished and the font and layout need some adjustment here and there. (As suggested by one or two people) Like I said earlier, I could always upload several versions, take it to a vote and go with whatever one wins. Oh here's another non star wars related t-shirt.
  5. I bought a wireless system for mine, but decided not to use it. It's just an extra 2 batteries to worry about.
  6. The font I used was 'future' something. I think it's a terminator 2 font. I couldn't find the exact FISD font. I still have the photoshop project files saved, so moving stuff around isn't an issue and changing the font isn't a problem either. I'm also not 100% happy with the bottom text as it all looks a bit cluttered, but the font can obviously be resized to suit. Again, if anyone want's to mess with the layout, feel free. I guess if people have different opinions on everything, we could always put up a few versions and take it to a vote? I don't mind really. I'm just trying to contribute to the cause as I can't contribute physicaly at troops as I haven't had my induction yet. Problems with work and having inductions 300+ miles away doesn't help. Will get to one soon though.
  7. Hope there's not an issue in bumping this old topic back up, but I figured it was better to stick to the one thread than start another one. Well after months of issues with my laptop I've finaly managed to get some changes done to the t-shirt design. Again photoshop is being evil and my laptop is still being a pain. Needs another clean out no doubt. I have tried some custom t-shirt websites, but they either look terrible or for some reason won't understand that the object is on a transparent background and the blacks are infact the black t-shirt material or the white is the white t-shirt material etc. I might just have a go with one of those iron on t-shirt transfer paper packs you can get. Feel free to add any comments. I hope to try and come up with some different ideas soon. All depends if my creative brain decides to co-operate or not.
  8. I believe thats the garisson symbol/logo name. I know the UK garisson has one of these.
  9. That is stunning. You've done a great job putting it together. Well done on the award!
  10. Yeah E6000 is great if you make a mistake. Stick something blunt inbetween the strip and the arour and just gently prise it apart OR if you really take your time you can cut through the glue with a very sharp knife. I had to do that when I had to re-do my forearms.
  11. I feel so sorry for the person that bought it for that price. $100 or something and it might be worth buying. Maybe it could be made to look nice with some modding and a new lid.
  12. Good start. If you want some glue, get E-6000. It's what I used for my blaster and most of my armour.
  13. The E-11? Hmm. I'm pretty sure doopydoos do a resin kit for a ROTJ blaster. Can anyone confirm?
  14. Yeah lower that backplate a tad. Heat up the shoulder part and it'll sit lower. I did that with mine.
  15. Yeah upload to photobucket and then by the pic you'll have some codes. One will have something like www.photobucket.com/doopydoo/piccy.jpg Post that link on your post and it should appear. I'd use 'preview post' first, just to make sure it's not massive and makes the page look all weird.
  16. Whoa! That's brilliant. I tried my hand at 3D modeling once in 3DS max. After an hour of just looking at windows and boxes and stuff and saying "Errr..uhh..umm..err..." over and over I decided to forget it.
  17. Looks almost as nice as my SDS recasted bucket. lol. Nah, seriously. That it a stunning looking helmet.
  18. I can only echo what others have already said. Steer clear of Ebay. You CAN get a nice suit, but you'll pay way over the odds.
  19. 5th picture down "Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio" Great pics and great looking figures.
  20. They look very much like my boots. Just get some white shoe dye and they'll look great.
  21. TK boots are fine as far as I remember (I haven't been here in months), I don't think anything has changed.
  22. I cut my armour using the score and snap mothod.
