TKDUEUNO replied to Darth_Ryyel23's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
If I were you I'd sell it, get my money back, read this forum through and go for the real deal... -

Muchas gracias Damian! Your kind words really fill me with gratitude, pride and satisfaction!! I really put a lot of love and care in these builds, I'm happy to see that comes through!!! Thanks again, mate!! Pablo

Well, me too... but it was awesome nontheless But it's not the same as looking at another person in white armor. The past sunday I took part in my first troop, and standing in front of my first live Sandtrooper was really something special!

Say hello to the newest member of my family
TKDUEUNO replied to firebladejedi's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
I hear you Chris, just saw the topic on MEPD and the repositioned faceplate definitely improved it, probably it's me but it looks "squished"... I'm very curious to see one of these helmets trimmed and assembled like a "standard" stunt one -
Say hello to the newest member of my family
TKDUEUNO replied to firebladejedi's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
It's a very sharp helmet, but am I the only one to think that it's a bit "weird"? I see a very tall and squared cap, faceplate protruding a lot, "shrinked" at the frown and wide at the bottom. Maybe it's the assembly, just the pictures or the big ears, but somethings makes me dislike it. -
im new and would love some help

BlasterCore wanted for E-11

I've tried and they're too small to be loud as I wanted, while the speaker bundled with Blaster Core is VERY powerful! -

---------- Keep watching this space or email Erv to know when the next batch will be available. It goes out fast, so you must be ready -
Hi Morten I'm not Scandinavian, but I can tell you that the best glue is E6000, it comes in clear and also white. Dries rubbery in 24 hours and the bond is super strong.

Definitely nono, too bulky and big. These are cheap ones and pretty nice, and cheap again: --------

Thanks, they've just updated the site and I didn't noticed that
-
They're not a must, but they really minimize wrinkles on elbows and knees and keep the undersuit well tensioned.

Search button is your friend Anyway, i'll go for this---------- It has no logo, it's cheap, it's comfortable and has a two-way zip, you just need to add thumbs and feet stirrups. I love mine

Hi Andy! The TM is the best you can get IMHO, I'm in love with mine too! Seems that you have to "shrink" the biceps a bit. I did the same with mine, and trimmed until they don't open up the shoulder bell. I trimmed a lot of the shoulder bell lip too, look at my pics. As for the thighs strips, heat them up gently with a heatgun, keep them well pressed flat on the table and bend them to follow the thigh curve, I did it that way. Heat gently and evenly and work in small increments, then sand down and finish the strip. I don't have the armor here to take measurements, I will as soon as I get home this evening The trick is to watch again and again all the reference pictures and trim the armor to perfetcly fit YOUR body structure. Be sure to check Stukatrooper's Build, that's what I did http://www.flickr.com/photos/stukatrooper/...57603721766632/ If you have other questions just ask

CaBoots Mod: sanding, sanding sanding
TKDUEUNO replied to TKDUEUNO's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
I used Plasti Dip to paint my latex handguards: PERFECT! It grips like hell, it's superflexible, it's TOUGH, the finish is smooth and the white is spot on. And again: it's TOUGH. I maybe paint the boots with white Plasti Dip as well! -
Renaissance Dancewear
TKDUEUNO replied to jacketrat's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
I bought one of these and can't be happier! It's a motorcycle undersuit: you can order it without the logo, it's cheap, it's comfortable and has a two-way zip. Sew on some black elastic as thumbs and feet stirrups and be a happy trooper just like me! -
Since I was pretty pissed off by the difference in color between my sweet TM and the CaBoots, I decided to do something about it while I wait for a nice pair of accurate boots to pop up on Ebay. So here's what to do: grab some 150 or 180 grit paper and sand them! Do it gently and evenly, don't apply too much pressure and work always in the same direction, you just want to rub off the blueish glossy coating. Underneath it there's the core of the faux leather which is a more milky white and matches the armor color almost perfectly! And the finish is now matte just like the original ones. Don't sand too much or you're gonna expose the canvas layer underneath, so be gentle and take your time. Go easy on the seams too, or you might ruin them. This is a slow and very boring job, but the result will pay off. Obviously this operation renders them weaker, more delicate and not waterproof, but definitely prettier. I might consider spraying them with clear Plasti Dip to protect them. Comparison pics: I'm pretty happy!!! If only I thought of that before the photoshooting... The front seam is always there and even more evident, but you can touch it up with some white paint. Happy sanding!!!

Question regarding gluing thighs/shins/forearms
TKDUEUNO replied to Plastic Fury's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Yeah go for it, glue everything except shins back. Tape the top of those from the inside and put a little strip of velcro on the bottom. Tape and measure twice, try everything on a lot of times, trim in litlle increments and try everything on again -
LOL! Thanks Billy, I knew you were up for something special! Thanks to everyone for the kind words, my pride and satisfaction are on stellar levels right now. I'm a happy trooper!
