  1. I rock a VT lid with my AM armor and the color matches almost perfectly! Great product.
  2. Hard to say from those shots but it looks like the face plate is just mounted too far back. You want a little space there though.
  3. AHH HA HA HA HA *SNORT* HA HAHA...I'm ok. *glance* Ahh HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
  4. If you haven't added any decals or frown paint yet why don't you paint the helmet to more closely match the armor. I think painted helmets look better anyway...
  5. 1.) What type of glue will hold the styrene together well? <---E6000 is the "industry standard" for troopers and can be found at your local hobby shops or Michaels (if you have those in FL). 2.) Should I paint it after getting it glued together? <---I went with an ABS kit that didn't need painting but you want to assemble the kit completely before painting it! There are MANY tutorials to choose from on this site. Heck, I am still learning something new every time I come here! 3.) What can I do to fix my helmet? <---Pics please! Stukatrooper or Pandatrooper might be of some help there. (not to call anybody out ). 4.) Another other type of paint recommended other than the Rust-olem gloss white enamel paint? 5.) What is the best way to do the ANH strips for the armor? I can never seem to get one cut perfectly straight.<---There are tutorials for this as well, but I had the best luck with a ruler, blue painter's tape(as a guide to cut along) and a box cutter. I have an ABS kit so the "score n' snap" method really worked well. Not sure how it would work with HIPS... Hope that helped! I found this site helpful as well. http://www.tonybarnett.plus.com/ Good luck!
  6. The country I'm deployed to has blocked the pics. Lame... I have the AM armor and was considering doing something like that. How is the color matching? Pretty close? My VT helmet is a similar shade of white so I was thinking of getting some of his parts.
  7. The new VT lids are pretty sweet! That or an AP...both maybe?
  8. Yes, but would the slight amount of heat transfer outweigh the added heat generated from adding to the thickness if the armor? Hmmm. . .My brain hurts too!
  9. He mentioned that he would like to see this armor meet 501st approval. It's interesting to note that the 501st has approved worse sets of armor than these.
  10. As an Apple guy, my advice wouldn't be very helpful to you.
  11. Just curious, where does battle damage/carbon scoring fit into the weathering debate? If I want my trooper to look like he's taken a few in stride is that still legit?
  12. I believe the "flat sole" is in reference to the tread area, not the heel. The screen used boots had slight heels to them. Most of us have TK Boots (or something similar).
  13. The best part is the "Free Colone Figrue" (sp) that you get with it!
  14. Unfortunately I will be in the middle east for C5. I was really looking forward to putting faces to your names. C6 maybe?
  15. Well gents(and ladies), I'm off to the Desert again. Between my flying schedule and my deployments, I'm beginning to wonder if I'll EVER get my armor built and join the 501st! I think I'm about 85% complete with the build and have only one more piece -holster- to buy (probably one of anrev's ESB ones). Anyway, wish me luck out there and please represent the 501st with pride at Celebration V for me as I will not be there. Well, time to go earn my pay in the sandbox. Have fun! Looking forward to trooping with you soon!
  16. Is that a hyperfirm? It looks super clean.
  17. I Jailbroke my iPhone using Blackra1n and I couldn't be happier with it! Mobile hotspots are where it's at!
  18. I remember taking mine out of the box for the first time! Money well spent!
  19. Yeah, mine does as well. I assumed they all did.
  20. does this color scheme work for ESB as well? I am thinking of switching to that instead of ANH.
  21. Yeah, I'm having WAY too much fun! I am working on the thighs, shins, and neck lip right now. Then it's just straps, buttons, and paint really to finish it up! I can't wait! P.S. I also can't wait for my twin boys to be old enough to dress as Jawas for Halloween so I can take them around the neighborhood in my armor.
