  1. i've seen it before. these guys come and go often enough. if only there were something we could do about it...
  2. sounds awesome. i'll hafta look into it.
  3. haha. nah, it's not too bad, just gatta know the tricks to it. i'm super messy at times with it. it'll be alright.
  4. wow. so you paint it on, let it dry and then do your thing and peel it right off? how long does it take to dry? i could use something like that myself. i've never heard of it.
  5. so... you apply this fluid type stuff and when you paint over it, it gives a weathered/chipped look right off the bat?
  6. well, in that instance, i find if your fingers are clean wipe it off with a finger and rub your fingers and it just balls up and comes off. lol. i dont use anything to clean spilled E6000 minus hands and maybe the scape tool (plastic razor blade) often i even use it to apply the glue... just all dependant on the scenario really. but no i dont use chemicals. i'd probably worry about if it'd weaken the glue that i'm not wiping up...
  7. dont forget about the secret little bushes. haha
  8. i use a plastic scrapper blade. those things are awesome. they wont scratch your armor. but will scrape anything off. or you could just wait till it's dry and use your finger nails. ---- i use the orange one. i think the different colors are different strengths in the plastic. they come in handy for so many things.
  9. lol. valid point. i know a few people who take the game of darts very seriously and have "high dollar" darts. ionno how much they range, but i do know, you dont mess with them. lol.
  10. i know this isnt a build thread, but i modded my butt plate and will do the cup section tomorrow... but how does this look success? putting the snaps in was tough. the ABS is too thick. i had to shave it down a notch. used the broad end of a dremel bit that was one of those round stones... worked quite well. but nerve racking to say the least. lol. the snap tool was almost unable to get it propperly.... but rounding the general area to make it look as screen accurate as possible was relatively easy actually.... mind you, this is AM armor
  11. what if he used white elastic there? then it'd be white on white... i ask because that's my game plan. not installed yet, but it's in the works, actually i did everything aside from install it today. i'm on break.
  12. lol. it's bound to happen.
  13. lol... this topic is about the mic tips... not the general insides of the helmet. just so you know.
  14. excuse me sir... we're trying to talk about throwing sharp objects here... GAH! haha
  15. haha. yeah i imagine. gatta be careful. a lot of people actually ship their armor with like fedex or something... what kind of darts do you use?
  16. well you could practice with it on... with and without the helmet. that way you will know if you're good enough with it on (hopefully with the helmet on too) to not jeopardize your tournament. however... if you do it in your suit. we'll require pics. yes i'm speaking on behalf many TKs on that one. haha
  17. wow. sounds like a perfect match thanks man
  18. loop holes ladies and gentlemen ... all about the loopholes. lol. really though, that looks amazing.
  19. their commonly used for paper... but then again many parts used to make these suits are for the most random stuff. lol
  20. mine are black on the insides...
  21. i knew something didnt look quite right there he should have known better than to leave that out... it's probably in the shop getting tuned up
  22. drop box straps deff should be white, something looks funny about the batterpak on your knee, but i dont know... might just be how FX looks there. i'm not too sure, not a big deal, it just looks funny to me. also... in another EIB thread i made comment about the guys shoulder straps looking connected knowing they werent just complimenting them basically, so i dont wanna be the guy that always says the same thing... but are your shoulder straps connected in the back? their supposed to hang freely or held with elastic. and finally the plastic section of the belt i THINK the corners should have a 45 degree cut to them, but dont quote me on that... it's not a must have, so you're probably fine there. over all looks great for an FX and you did a wonderful job minor tweaks and you should pass easily
  23. that's the one i use.
  24. yeah, oxidation is a viable reason for the color. i too would like to know if anyone knows the correct head size of the brads used. i've decided that though being totally screen accurate isn't important to me, this small area of detail, i'm gunna go for accuracy. i'm growing up so fast... i know. lol. Paul: are you referring to the rivets on the side of the ab being painted? lol. you confused me there for a minute.
  25. haha. i told my lady when i die, it comes with me... she didnt have to say it, i could tell... it's not coming with me sad to say. lol. but yeah i know what you mean. few people called dibs on my sound system already. that'd make a great pic though
