  1. i knew something didnt look quite right there he should have known better than to leave that out... it's probably in the shop getting tuned up
  2. drop box straps deff should be white, something looks funny about the batterpak on your knee, but i dont know... might just be how FX looks there. i'm not too sure, not a big deal, it just looks funny to me. also... in another EIB thread i made comment about the guys shoulder straps looking connected knowing they werent just complimenting them basically, so i dont wanna be the guy that always says the same thing... but are your shoulder straps connected in the back? their supposed to hang freely or held with elastic. and finally the plastic section of the belt i THINK the corners should have a 45 degree cut to them, but dont quote me on that... it's not a must have, so you're probably fine there. over all looks great for an FX and you did a wonderful job minor tweaks and you should pass easily
  3. yeah, oxidation is a viable reason for the color. i too would like to know if anyone knows the correct head size of the brads used. i've decided that though being totally screen accurate isn't important to me, this small area of detail, i'm gunna go for accuracy. i'm growing up so fast... i know. lol. Paul: are you referring to the rivets on the side of the ab being painted? lol. you confused me there for a minute.
  4. haha. i told my lady when i die, it comes with me... she didnt have to say it, i could tell... it's not coming with me sad to say. lol. but yeah i know what you mean. few people called dibs on my sound system already. that'd make a great pic though
  5. but it's evenly warped... that's the key
  6. i think you need to watch the movies on a larger TV. screen accuracy can be a little different depending on the format.
  7. :laugh1: that's so funny, yet so terribly wrong all at once... but i have faith in him... if he tries long enough... you never know. lol
  8. haha. thanks. btw the "chat" i asked about, was SUPPOSED to say brad. haha i couldnt tell ya how that typo happened. that really makes since though. i might actually look into doing something similar to my suit. i'm not really a "screen accurate" guy, with my AM i like the term "fan sculpt" haha
  9. me, i just take a pic with my iphone and post them to photobucket and then put the image link in the post box, if done right it'll post the pics directly without anyone having to click anything or go through any links... plus their not too big. that's a great pic you took. impressive grouping of armor. i'm not familiar with VT too well myself, but they seem nice good luck with your build.
  10. ok so 1: what's this a pic from? 2: there's a male snap built into the armor in the bottom of the cup, and two in the butt plate? 3: why two in the butt plate? 4: just a regular strap to connect them with three female snaps? 5: where does the chat come in? sorry, but that should cover everything. lol
  11. oh... he was referring to masons screen cap collection? i've got that downloaded... great reference for builds. but yeah, in that grouping i dont know of a shot that Paul was referring to. maybe we can find some behind the scene shots that'd help clarify this....
  12. can't wait to see the pics man. that's a great feeling when you lay out all of the pieces for the first time. dont hesitate to ask for help while building. we're here for ya man
  13. i know what brads are... and i vaguely understand what you're talking about... just cant fully picture it... where's the LFL archive photos?
  14. i'm actually thinking about doing that. but i'm kinda holding off on doing that. no real reason. i kinda just like it as is... but if ever there comes a EIB type thing that'd require it... it'll be done quickly. lol.
  15. that's actually a part of my suit i'm working on to tune up for EIB... do you have any reference pics i could use?
  16. taking into consideration that in periodic troopers in the movie, there's several scenes where a TK or two have "inaccuracies" in their armor. happened a fair amount...
  17. i dont see it..? where on the site? great reference link though
  18. i also use foam in my forearms along with many other sections. i.e. shins, thighs, biceps....
  19. question asking is just a part of the game. i asked tons and tons of them when i was getting started. we all have been there. never hesitate. as far as the overlap issue goes, i had a similar issue myself... but it's not a huge deal. it'll be alright... this is what mine looks like.
  20. so what you're saying is she's got time to grow into it? that almost doesnt make since man... <_<
  21. looks great. well done. your shoulder straps almost look like they might be connected in the back as opposed to free floating... but same time dont. lol. did you give them a sharper bend? looks good.
