  1. Yer its there Jack
  2. Iam 35 inch waist , so when iam wearing my TM i have about half inch side gap thats on my 1mm TM suit but iam totaly cool with that because it is how some of the origanal troopers were , on my 2mm TM i left half inch excess on the kidney plate so i had no gap purley for EIB , i am on a diet but its blody hard i like my beer to much but i will get down to 32 inch waist and when i do i can cut the excess of the kidney plate
  3. Hi Kevin , the thickness is .060 gauge so quite thin but quite flexy at the same time
  4. Karin your right HDPE baby alll the way @ Matt , iam going to use a redish spray for the inside of the lid as per the origanls and blend it in with the white and have some hdpe showing at the top inside , i have been told of a white paint to use from a freind who has done a few hdpe builds it will not require a primer just 3-4 coats of it should do it , and then chip away at it in small areas dont want to have loads of chippings just anoth as were the origanal helmets . @ Karin pics comming soon of your knuckle hand gaurds
  5. Hi Guys , I alway wanted to do a HDPE build (THE CHIPPER) and try to replicate the origanl ANH screen look , heres where iam at the moment just arrived this week , cheers Gino.
  6. Hi David , I tried this method and could not get used to it , try connecting a smaller piece of elastic to each bell and then snap it on to the elastic or webbing or whatever is joining your chest and back plates togather

  12. As i said before Dennis stunning mate welcome to feeling like a real TK bro , you and your new E11 what a perfect match now mate just need to get it weatherd
  13. It could also be left over white elastic from the shoulder straps , lets use that on the brackets , just a thought
  14. Its probley white gaffa tape John you know how they liked to use it almost any ware
  15. Hi Neol, on my TM 2 mm i was thinking of showing the more accurate split rivits and also having the the screws showing that go in to the brackets and giving it the illusion from the out side that i had the origanal strapping , but after a chat with Paul putting the screws in the armour would only be making it more prone to crack and i do troop in this suit , Pauls quite right why go to all that trouble when just to fool go all the way or dont , so i keep my snap strapping in my TM 2mm for trooping and then when i want a bit of nastalga i put the TM 1mm on with the origanal strapping , lucky to have the choice , but mate your armour is going to rock i have a great feeling about this

  23. On my 2mm TM ,This is what i have done Paul , i have narrowed my biceps so they sit a bit lower now plus stil got movement so they are not tight overal i think it was 1inch i trimmed out on each bicep , plus i did trim my inner elbows on the forearms yes because my arms are not the longest but the forearms are up high so its cool with me like you say thats how they are As Billy knows on my Chest and back plate i heated the tabs and bent them in slightly by about 1 inch have to be cafefull to keep the ilinement of the tabs so they all meet eachother , it raised the chest and backplate by 1 inch or so oh yes with the help of some shoulder pads to , Thanks Stuka for that tip ,so i did not have to trim the bottom of the chest or back plate .
  24. Hey John at least Luke has the finishing strips on his biceps compered to this poor trooper
  25. Hi John its great to see you going for the Luke look i was thinking at some point of doing that to just never got round to it mate what new armour are you going for if you dont mind me asking ? by the way it looks like they also cut the botom of Lukes back plate to as well as the chest . Still looking for any other differances Heres another shot look how longer at the bottom Hans back plate is comperd to Lukes .
