  1. Excellent thread. Thank you for the detailed pics. I've just started tearing one of these apart for my son as well.
  2. Amazing work and thank you for the detail. Sharing my organized (OCD) links for the greater good. I'm certain there are a few posts that don't have an entry. Let me know if I've missed or messed up any links. Cheers. 3. Rey was also carrying the blaster rifle left-handed fashion. She's right handed. Shot was flipped or JJ is just messing with us.
  4. Approved! I have a few more tweaks to complete for Police Officer status (including adding the front scope to my RT-97C). I learned quite a bit on this build. It was like 3 suits in one for me with the backpack and weathering (reworked it 4 times until I achieved the desired look, whew).
  5. Basing it on the roadblock v2 Sergeant (shouldn't have the hip pouches). Initial goal is all SWAT details minus the specific weathering and pouch/gun combo. I like personalizing my weathering while adhering closely to the screen look. Also, I have several guns I want to swap out on troops. But I do plan on opening a SWAT thread once I have PO status.
  6. Progress was halted due to some renovations. But I'm now back on it. Also, I'm ordered another TM kit to replace my AP. In progress as well. Weathering in-progress:
  7. Hey Tony! Looking good. I'll be following along. I'm on the list and hopeful. Cheers.
  8. Hey. No, that's too small. Take your black paint all the way to the bottom of the downward curve. You can even bleed on to it just a bit. You want to make them big enough to be able to comfortably fit the stripes. If you click on my AP build link below, mine are a bit too small as well. I since have redone them larger.
  9. I mounted mine behind the left pectoral of the chest plate. I made a u-shaped piece of ABS to support it. Clip the amp over the support, industrial velcro the back to the support and then industrial velcro the support feet to the chest plate. Below is a shot of my Snowie chest plate with the support. On my TK the support is rotated 90 degrees so the volume knob is on top. Also, in the shot below I have the RomFX speaker attached. But it gives you an idea of what the support looks like.
  10. Yes indeed. I really enjoy the build process. I need to find a less expensive way to fulfill that part of the hobby, though.
  11. Haha, well all troopers really are Stormtroopers variants. The original Snowtrooper figure was labeled Imperial Stormtrooper (Hoth Battle Gear) figure. However, the Biker Scout was explicitly labeled as such and not Stormtrooper (Endor Scout Gear). But one could assume "Sandtroopers" were probably clean prior to deployment. But where's the fun in that? I do like the look of the AP kit even if it lacks the finer details in the TM and RS kits. It's biggest limitation for me is the size. At 6 feet and 180 pounds I had to really stretch the limits of the fit. Even now I find myself every so slightly hunching down when wearing it. I also had to shim the sides. While I don't rock 6-pack abs, I am of proportionate size in the gut. The TM fits me like a glove and is much more comfortable all around. I was amazed at how much more room I have to stretch and move. So, yes, I am planning to replace my AP TK with a TM. In fact I've already contacted Paul about timing. You can look for an AP with Centurion potential up for sale soon.
  12. Thanks for the kind words, all! It's a Troopermaster kit.
  13. Have a build thread over on MEPD. But I thought I'd post over here as well for some more eyeballs. Will be a fairly lightweight thread. I'm already at the full test fit. Cheers! A few tweaks to make here an there but nothing critically out of alignment. What do you all think? Weathering supplies are on the way and will commence this weekend!
  14. Check my Centurion thread below for samples of smoothing out the side shim transition. ABS paste and wet sanding with fine grit.
  15. It is the most challenging part of the AP kit. Check out my Centurion thread in my sig for my two rounds of fitting (plus a couple more in my build thread).
  16. I love my AP kit and Mark is a good guy. That said, I'm 6' and feel that's about the max height. I reworked my strapping several times before I found a good balance. You will likely have quote a bit of black showing and notable challenges with the torso spacing.
  17. Well done. Contact your garrison GWL for steps on 501st approval. Once you are approved then you can apply for EIB.
