  1. This was a good thread. Hell, you guys should throw in the other sets of armor in original form when people get them. Then the new guys would have an idea of what works for them. I know I had that problem when I first started. Threads like this would have been totally helpful.
  2. i'd love to get some. i do a lot of birthday parties and i never have anything to hand out. i can't wait. these look awesome!
  3. i used velcro on my FX armor and i've never had to take them apart on the back. So now that i'm building a different set of armor. i'm just going to E6000 them. But i'm skinny so thats probably why i never had to take them apart.
  4. I'd have to agree with mark. No doubt about it.
  5. I used a strap of holster leather for my shoulder bells. many people should also consider putting a strap from bell to bell across their back of neck. keeps them seated and tight. do you have a picture of this? i'm always curious to how people do their strapping. i'm working on a set of AP armor and i want it completely different than my FX.
  6. this is the DIY i used. ----- his threads rock. i've built 3 AP buckets so far with no problems.
  7. I'll be rockin my esb bucket. But I'm not EIB esb.
  8. thats a cool video, i wonder how many legos he has.
  9. How do you guys measure or put the snaps on for the shoulders? Do you guys have someone help you measure the distance? Or do you guys go through a lot of test fitting straps. I can't seem to get mine correct.
  10. you're crazy! this suit looks amazing already. i can't wait to see it all done.
  11. Lookin good!
  12. I didn't pay much, so I'm not too worried. Its been more use than a regular hasbro. Looks more accurate and the kids can't tell the difference. I've been wanting a hyperfirm but I've been buying more buckets than anything. Thanks for the info guys. Hopefully someone can chime in on where this came from.
  13. So heres the story, i've owned this blaster for awhile now. I bought it off ebay and its been a long time. I don't know what kind it is nor who made it and thats why i'm asking you guys here. I've used it on every troop and when people ask. i really don't know what to tell them. heres some info. its light. feels like plastic and pvc or possibly resin in some areas. same exact size as a masters replica. Can anyone determine who or which maker this is from?
  14. i always wondered the same thing. i usually tuck mine in but you're right. you can see the logo even with the sharpie. i've realized when i leave it untucked, it looks a bit messy. i'm curious to know as well on how others do this.
  15. That looks like a really good idea. I wonder where I can buy this from in my area.
  16. I tried getting a bucket from guns but only email tag. I'd love to get a bucket from him.
  17. johnblackk's link looks like a really good idea. that way its removeable. i too am using either tape (just incase the lenses get scratches, i can easily replace them). but also i'm using hot glue in my AP. the glue does make the bucket seem heavier which i plan to ditch the idea of glue.
  18. I've been wondering this as well. I've just used a sharpie marker to blacken it but you can still see the symbol.
  19. i've been waiting for this for awhile. looks like things will be easier to view. i can't wait!!
  20. I'm very new myself. And I've browsed fisd for 3 months straight and I love it. I've found those threads that you guys are speaking of but to me. All I really love from this, the nice people here and TK's. We all have a common bond here. I am running a FX suit. I know its not even really good to become EIB and I'd love to own a nice suit such as TE2 or AP. But in the end. I love my fx because its something I put together as a hobby. I don't care about what people think. But I don't use the FX lid. I love looking at lids and I love the lids that a lot of guys here produce. Enough of my blabbering. I still enjoy fisd and browse it daily and I will for a long time.
  21. This looks awesome!
  22. i was going to say the same thing! i love this site.
  23. i'm so jealous. i can't wait to see your other lids.
