  1. I was working on that this yesterday when I had to stop because my Norton fraked up and shut down..... I will post the list Where to Avoid the next day or two.
  2. +1 You will easily spend over a 1000 bucks in materials to make molds and plastic, plus rigging up a home made vac table etc.... The only thing I know to do for reinforcing the styrene TK parts, use Loctile plastic epoxy with layers canvas or Duck cloth. You can get the both the Loctile epoxy and the canvas/duck cloth. Lot of work.
  3. I have a few friends in Denmark, They send me photo all the time. It has some beautiful landscapes.
  4. Happy Easter everyone!!!!!!!!!
  5. Are you sure you don't want to live at Hoth?
  6. Norway is a lovely country, are you sure you don't want to change??? Plus it is the same place where Hoth was filmed.... Just kidding, I sent the info to Darth Aloha and the other guys who work on the EIB info. It should be fixed very soon.....
  7. Be carefully with the acetone. I used it a few times to make of ABS paste etc... It can warp and weaken if you use to much. SDS uses a mix ratio with the acetone. Have you tried either the clear or milky clear ABS plumbing cement (like what you would find in the plumbing area of a Home Improvement store).
  8. Believe it or not, about the kidney and Butt plates.....The way the solid one piece Kidney/butt contour/fits to someone's body is different compared to the way separate two pieces contour/fits. You can see it and know , like looking at a Ford to a Chevy, you can tell the difference. Like everyone said above, as long as there is a separation/split of the kidney and butt plates, you will be good to go...Just take a good pic of the area, if you are worried. Looking for to seeing you go for your EIB!!!!
  9. Happy Birthday Steve!!! Awesome cakes bro i hope you have a great one !!
  10. Yes the ESB Lids and basic armor was a hand me down form ANH. ( not counting the Mark 2s) The lids were redone with decals, and afew add on's, (Handplates, Hosters, weapons etc...) From every screen grab the black elastic that went across the biceps in ANH is not visible in ESB. In fact I believe they were removed. and a new strapping was used to connect the shoulder bell and bicep, like a bungee strap almost like in in this pic: Also, the ESB TK on the steps in the pic. If you look at thier biceps, they look like they are just hanging. Now for the EI requirements, I knew a lot on members would re-use their basic ANH armor and just change out what was different from ANH and ESB (Lid, handplates, holster, blaster etc). That is why the EI states: Ideally no shoulder bell straps across the biceps. If there is a shoulder bell strap, it shall not be visible across the biceps. This is so, no one that is using their ANH armor would have to remove the black elastic strap that normally goes around the bicpes like in ANH. Just hide it. Now, it would be very hard to make the requirements for ESB that says: "biceps armor shall be worn low and not under the shoulder bells." Because of different body types (length of arms ). If you can do this, than you are one step closer to be able to looking like the TKs did in Episode V...
  11. Happy 20th Birthday Corey (Star Raider)!!!!!!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEWv19Eh8b8 Hope you have a great one!!!!!!!
  12. Five more TKs 56 total with 44 spots open........
  13. One cool thing is for the original screen TK (stunt ANH) the Armor and helmets were not color matched. The original armor was a milk white and the helmets were a khaki and painted white..... So if your lid does not match exactly will your armor, then you will be in the right step with the movies TKs..
  14. Basically Maker of things is a lair and recaster of TE2 armor. His recast is very poorly done because the Hips is thin and over heated to the point that it becomes very brittle. You should contact ebay about this.
  15. Two more TKs for a grand total of 53. 47 spot left........If you are able to do this, please sign up at the link on the first post.
  16. It's the real thing. Vern were you not able to sign up, please try again with the link......
  17. Better to ask for forgiveness than beg for permission. So what did you order? I will need to so when need to identify your body after your wife kill you with it..... just kidding. May the force be with you when you tell her..
  18. Which Chest plate are you wanting to re-size? If it an AM style, on page two of Pandatroopers AM build he show what he did: -------- I did a lot of modding to mine, and told a lot of pix...but lost all the photos when my stick was chewed up by my puppy.....

  24. Holy Crap everyone!!!!!!!!!!!! I was getting caught up with my emails from this past week…… I was contacted by a coordinator from Lucas Films about helping get 100 Stormtroopers to do a BIG event at LFL HQ in California next month for the 35th Anniversary of ANH/ honor for McQuarrie. Here is the Email: Dear Thomas Gardner, I am Julia Silverman, one of the special events and public relations coordinators for Lucas Films Limited. I was recently in touch with Steve Sansweet and he forwarded your contact information to me. Mr. Sansweet conveyed to us that you and he have been in correspondence this past year about a book you are trying to get published, and you may be able you help us. Let me tell you why I am contacting you. Mr. Lucas is having us plan an event for the 25th of May 2012 at the Head Quarters of Lucas Films in San Francisco, Ca. This year marks the 35th Anniversary for Episode 4, A New Hope. This event we have been planning will commemorate the film, and also to be in honor and pay tribute the late Ralph McQuarrie. At the last minute, Mr. Lucas requested to have around 80 to 100 Stormtroopers as an honor guard for the event. Mr. Sansweet was actively involved with coordination of the 501st during the last large event (The Rose Bowl Parade in 2007). When we contacted Steve this time about helping pull this together on such short notice, he said that "we may be in luck!' Steve said that ironically he has been in contact with you over the past year, and that you conveyed about being on the staff of a 501st website that provides information and give assistance to those that are putting together their Stormtrooper costumes for the 501st Legion. Steve told us that your website has artisan programs that strives to making more screen accurate Stormtrooper costumes. Since it is such short notice, and needing a very larger number and wanting the best looking Stormtroopers that we can get for this event, we are hoping you can help us fine them. We are able to provide transportation and lodging for 100. This event will not be as arduous for 501st members like it was for the Rose Bowl Parade. There will be no need for extensive training, nor any long distance marching. Mainly standing at attention and a short march at the beginning and end of the event. I apologize and realize this is such short notice. So, for incentive for the 100 501st Stormtroopers, we will have a special screening of A New Hope and a teaser screening of next year’s release of Episode 2, Attack of the Clones in 3D. Plus, a tour of Lucas Films facilities, this will include the Archive as well. Please contact me as soon as you get this email, so we can start coordinating and get the details solidified. Regards, Julia Silverman Lucas Films Limited End of the email. OK, since I/we the FISD staff needs to get the ball rolling and not have pandemonium, I contacted Mason, and we set up a new area this morning for coordinating this so this will go faster. We need anyone and everyone that can do this event to go to the link below and give the following information: Full Name 501st TK ID EI and/or Centurion What version of TK you are Garrison/outpost CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS AND TO SIGN UP NOW!! This way we can look through and pick out the best TKs to do the event. Please know, there are ONLY 100 slots, so first come first serve!!!!!
