  1. Great work. The rear also gets a cover strip and is glued same as the front, you can add an inner cover strip too for added strength, most don't, although it is a good idea inside the shins as they are continually open and closed . I would do a trial fit before trimming out any extra room in the backs of the legs, sometimes you can have too much room, but if you have way too much material and are 100% sure you can trim then here are some references

  5. Thighs hopefully done with covering strips Left: It's not a problem, I hope, that the strip will be a bit to the right? :/ Right: Both glueing: Can you trim a bit at the back return edge so you can bend your leg a little better? Hopefully I have done all this correctly and wont need to redo. I know it's a bit different with the shins backside, so you can fasten with velcro etc. How should I do that? By the way, my deadline for completing this armor is the 18th, in time for Ep9 , I had forgot to mention that earlier. If I can't do it by then, oh well...

  6. WOW... awesome job on this build, sir! You are right, that kidney/ab connection would drive me nuts, lol. It looks to still have it's return edge, so could definitely stand for some trimming. Also noticed that the ABS belt could be centered a bit more if possible. The button ideally should be centered above the center cod ridge. Adding straps to the forearm/bicep would not only keep them from riding down, but would also help keep them from twisting. Looking forward to seeing your next commission!

  8. This Shock Trooper is getting close for Deployment. Weathering done on the body armour today, the bucket is all that needs to be done (which I'm freaking out about a little). Then to finish off the strapping, finish off the belt, TD clips to be made and padding in the bucket. The countdown is on for the first suit up. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

  9. #12 11/30/19 - Preparing for the Rise of Skywalker at the Museum of Science (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) Couldn't believe I hadn't trooped in my TK in almost 6 months and I suffered a bit as it turns out my body had changed a wee bit after three months of weightlifting and of course all that food over Thanksgiving! LOL But I managed and it's nothing that a couple pounds here and a few adjustments there can't fix The Boss looks so much taller on the screen.... Just be quiet and stand still. Maybe he won't notice and he'll think we're dolls as well.... ...or maybe he'll just join in with his own doll!

  11. Thanks gmrhodes - I'll take a look through that thread. This time of year (dark early in the UK) a taclight on an E11 is going to look great.

  13. When the CRL was implemented there was only one vendor for the riot shield, then when more screen accurate images became available more suppliers came up with the rectangle design, I don't think you would have any issues with approval even with the CRL image but even if you did you could supply references to your GML or direct them to FISD's Detachment Leader

  16. The manufacture of the liners and country of origian was going to be my next round of questions if my theroy of the Scout and Stormtrooper liners being the same had gained traction. The picture of the 3M welders liner blew that idea out of the water. Knowing the liners were made in the UK just seals it . Thanks!
