  3. Not happy with the alignment of the cover strip to the bottom of the right back thigh. (top yet to be trimmed) Pulled off cover strip - taped off the area for sanding back the glue - used scalpel to trim the base to a square - cut new cover strip, leaving a wedge underneath for square fit - applied new cover strip - end result much better IMO. Question is will it pass 501st inspection? Time will tell. Image of bad alignment. Closer inspection: Off with the old and taped for sanding old glue. Scalpel out and squared off - used ABS paste later on reverse side to strengthen the hole made. Sand back glue and scalpel area. Backs look much neater - Now I'm looking at that top right cover strip and wondering how to trim/sand that to look like the guide.

  5. Please be aware that all current L2 and above armorers should have received their patches in person or via mail. Congratulations and thank you all for your contribution to the Detachment. I have sent the remaining 30 patches to the current FISD DMBO, @jsilvius, who has graciously offered to manage mailing them out to any future reward recipients. Please contact him/the current DMBO to request your 2 FREE patches (just pay shipping) once approved moving forward.

  7. I left the measurement off on purpose, as in the past there have been issues with GMLs treating these as an exact measures not guidelines. 2.5" feels about right but we also don't have anything in the reference of a known size to compare against. With that in mind I am currently inclined to let "be proportional to the wearer" in the header do the lifting here and so long as it looks right let it clear.

  9. Updated those. I will also add in the description for the wraps and requirements per level. These will be fleshed out further with some accurate details I received from our set contact last year. Wraps Basic Red wraps/bandages may be of a similar look to references. Builder discretion is allowed as long as it loosely aligns with the look and style of references. EI lvl2 Red wraps/bandages must be Chiffon material, wrapped in layers and distressed with fraying edges as per references. On some armor parts, loose wrap ends are also allowable. I have a lot more information for limb wrapping to add, this is more to create the baseline Centurion N/A I think we can get most of this into EI
